The news that Diva Mariah Carey bought a Faraday Future car was announced after the FF 91 2.0 model and the FFZERO1 concept car appeared prominently in Carey's recently released official music video for the song "Type Dangerous." This time, Mariah Carey's MV also has the special participation of MrBeast - the world's leading influencer today - and quickly attracted great attention from the global entertainment and music industry.
Faraday Future emphasized that Mariah Carey's ownership of the FF 91 2.0 marks a new phase in the brand's global cultural co-creation strategy, while reinforcing the "Ultimate AI Luxury Car" positioning that the company is pursuing. Carey’s addition to Faraday Future’s roster of celebrity owners also adds to its already impressive roster of entertainment and sports influencers, which the company sees as a testament to the brand’s growing appeal.
In addition, according to the advertisement from the American electric car company, the most advanced technology will be integrated into the FF 91 2.0 model - the car considered a symbol of the future. However, the reality is not as optimistic as what this company advertises. Faraday Future is an electric vehicle manufacturer founded by Chinese businessman Jia Yueting in May 2014, headquartered in Los Angeles, California, USA. Despite being founded more than 10 years ago, Faraday Future has been beset by doubts about its production and delivery capabilities. Since starting production of the FF 91 in March 2023, the company has delivered just 16 vehicles in total – 10 in 2023 and four more in 2024.
In 2025, the business situation of this company was even worse, when it sold only 2 cars in the entire first quarter, with a modest revenue of 300,000 USD in the entire first quarter of the year. The financial report showed that Faraday Future suffered a net loss of more than 48.2 million USD. Notably, many of these cars were sold to company leaders or celebrities instead of ordinary customers. Video : Mariah Carey puts Faraday Future electric car in new music video.
