The magic of “Magic Starlight”

Orion Fireworks (Canada) is one of the famous names in the international fireworks industry, having performed more than 150 performances in Canada and many countries around the world , affirming its position as a leading global "light artist". At DIFF 2025, Orion Fireworks brought the work Star Dust - Magic Starlight. Under the hands of creative designer Patrick Chandonnet, Magic Starlight was built as a symphony of light with three chapters: starting with inner awakening, followed by a deep dialogue with oneself and ending with sublimation in aspirations, in dreams reached.

Mr. Patrick Chadonnet, representative of Orion Fireworks team, shared that the team's strength and specialty is pyro musical fireworks, the combination of fireworks and music with an accuracy of one-tenth of a second, which will be maximized in this show.

“Many types of fireworks will be used, including water fireworks, the fireworks effects can be bright colors, wavy shapes, or stars... combined with emotional music such as Power of love, Leviathan or Never give up on your dreams, we expect to bring a performance that is both eye-catching and poetic. With the theme of Connecting Journey, the performance will arouse emotions, erase the distance between cultures, and connect people of all ages. We once dreamed of attending DIFF and here we are, taking the sky as a stage, shining in our own way,” said Mr. Chadonnet.

Bringing "Journey to the West Side Story" to DIFF

DIFF 2025 marks the return of the reigning DIFF 2024 runner-up Jiangxi Yangfeng (China), the country known as the cradle of fireworks art. Jiangxi Yangfeng team performed the work "Journey to the West", inspired by the classic Chinese literary masterpiece by author Wu Cheng'en. Sharing about this idea, Team Leader Liang Weiming said that "Journey to the West" is deeply ingrained in the minds of audiences not only in China but also in many Asian countries, including Vietnam. Therefore, with this theme, the team hopes to create an emotional connection between the Vietnamese audience and the Chinese team; connecting cultures through a fireworks display that matches the theme of the show.

In addition, the team's intention to use the song "Dare to ask where is the road" - "The road we go", the ending song of the 1986 Journey to the West throughout the entire performance is to tell a seamless story, helping the audience have a complete emotional journey; contributing to shaping the team's unique style, creating consistency and helping the message to be conveyed more clearly through each moment. "As one of China's leading fireworks teams, we bring to DIFF 2025 a combination of traditional fireworks techniques and modern equipment systems that have been used at major events such as the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, promising to create a night of fireworks that is both intense and sophisticated, as expected by the audience", Team Leader Liang Weiming affirmed.
