Man City produced an emotional chase at Newcastle. The visitors opened the scoring in the 26th minute through Silva, but a brace in the 35th and 37th minutes from Isak and Gordon put Newcastle ahead.

The defending champions struggled for a long time after that. In the 74th minute, Man City found an equalizer at 2-2 thanks to De Bruyne and the visitors were overjoyed when Bobb sealed the 3-2 victory in the 90+1 minute.

With 3 more points, Man City rose to second place in the table with 43 points after 20 matches, only 2 points behind the leader Liverpool. Meanwhile, the 4th consecutive defeat in the Premier League has caused Newcastle to fall into a serious crisis, coach Howe is under great pressure and facing the possibility of being fired.
