Immediately after the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences (University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) announced the 10th grade benchmark scores, teacher Nguyen Dac Thang, homeroom teacher of class 9A, continuously received messages from students announcing their passing grades.
According to Mr. Thang, class 9A actually has 29 students, but one student did not register for the entrance exam to the High School for Natural Sciences because he had other wishes. 28 students registered for the entrance exam and were admitted to the specialized classes of Math, IT, Physics and Chemistry (16 students in Math alone).
Some students had outstanding results such as Dang Hai Son, the valedictorian of the IT major with 27.5/30 points (10 points for the specialized subject); Nguyen Hai Dang, the leader of the Physics major with 26/30 points (9.25 points for the specialized subject). Do Manh Hung passed both the Math and Physics majors.

"Yesterday was a sleepless night for class 9A. From the beginning, I was quite confident in this year's students because they were well prepared in terms of knowledge and skills to meet the requirements of each school. Therefore, this result is not too surprising," Mr. Thang shared.
According to Mr. Thang, the 9A students entered the school right at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, most of them had to study online. This is also the only group of students who did not have to take the entrance exam for grade 6 but went through selection, and is also the first group to take the exam according to the new generaleducation program. Therefore, the school and teachers always pay special attention to ensure quality.
Before this year's class, there were 4 classes led by Mr. Thang with 100% passing the specialized exam.
