Series of events celebrating 25 years of My Son being honored as a World Cultural Heritage

VHO - Many exciting activities will be organized by the My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board, Duy Xuyen District, Quang Nam Province on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of My Son Temple Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage, and Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).

This is also an activity towards the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Khiet, Director of the My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board (My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board) said that the program to celebrate the 25th anniversary of My Son Temple Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage will take place on December 3 at My Son Temple Complex.

In addition, many activities were organized on this occasion, aiming to evaluate the conservation and promotion of the value of My Son Temple Complex since it was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage (WCH).

Thereby, drawing lessons and long-term orientations to sustainably protect My Son Cultural Heritage, contributing positively to the socio-economic development of the district.

Strengthening promotion, promoting connection and cooperation in the management, conservation and promotion of the value of My Son heritage; through commemorative activities, contributing to raising awareness and responsibility of the community for the cause of preserving cultural heritage in the integration period.

At the same time, it is also an opportunity to express gratitude and honor organizations and individuals who have made positive contributions to the cause of preserving and developing My Son Cultural Heritage sustainably.

My Son Tower A after being restored within the framework of the restoration project in cooperation with the Government of India to restore towers K, H, A (phase 2016-2022).

Specific contents will take place within the framework of the event such as: Workshop on "My Son Temple Complex and World Cultural Heritages in the Central Region: Reserves and Prospects" taking place on November 29, chaired by the Central Institute of Social Sciences.

On November 22, there will be cultural and artistic exchanges, sports, meetings and experience exchanges between conservationists at the two heritage sites of My Son Temple Complex and Hoi An Ancient Town.

Publishing and launching the My Son Cultural Heritage information booklet with the theme "My Son Cultural Heritage: 25 years in review", introducing the process of My Son being recognized as a World Cultural Heritage, the establishment of the Management Board, the historical, artistic and cultural values of My Son, the work of preservation and promotion, etc.
