The area where the Cau Ngu Festival and flower lantern release ceremony on the Da River is being held is urgently completing the final work before the event takes place.
According to the plan of the Provincial People's Committee, the Cau Ngu Festival and the releasing of flower lanterns on the Da River will take place on the evening of June 23, 2025 at the Walking Street flower garden, Da Giang Street, Phuong Lam Ward (Hoa Binh City). With the purpose of returning to the origin, praying for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather, the Cau Ngu Festival is expected to become a highlight event in the cultural - spiritual - tourism life of the province. The Hoa Binh Provincial Agricultural Extension Center - the unit assigned to advise on organizing the event, has urgently completed consulting the Provincial People's Committee to establish an Organizing Committee, assigning specific tasks to each member department and branch. The plans to ensure traffic security and health are closely coordinated by the units: Provincial Police, Department of Health, Department of Construction, and Hoa Binh City People's Committee. Rescue forces, traffic diversion, power on duty, and fire prevention and fighting are fully deployed so that the event takes place safely and solemnly.
Up to this point, all the work and preparations have been completed, ready for the event to honor the Da River. This year's Cau Ngu Festival will have special contents such as: Welcome art program, traditional praying for fish ritual, releasing flower lanterns on Da River and fireworks. In particular, Cau Ngu Festival will have the participation of 400 Muong ethnic artists with a grand gong concert as a call to the sacred soul of the mountains and rivers combined with contemporary rhythms.
According to Mr. Nguyen Huy Nhuan, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the festival: "This year's Cau Ngu Festival is not only a traditional ritual rich in identity, but also shows gratitude to the Da River - the origin of life and development of Hoa Binh city. This is an important highlight in the journey to build the image of Hoa Binh city - a riverside tourism city, culture and integration".

On the threshold of a new journey, the festival is both a spiritual ritual and a way for today's generation to express gratitude to nature, to what the Da River has silently given. From that festival, the city by the river seems to be re-energized, ready for a new journey, rising strongly from its original values.
