Under the close, scientific and drastic direction of the Ministry's leaders, the coordination of agencies and units under the Ministry, the National Sports Federations and Associations and localities, the whole industry has focused all its efforts on arranging and perfecting the organizational structure, building the functions, tasks and powers of the Vietnam Sports Administration and its affiliated units in the new organizational structure of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Currently, the organizational structure of the Vietnam Sports Administration and its affiliated units has been streamlined, in accordance with the time schedule and requirements of the Ministry.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the Vietnam Sports Administration has implemented activities according to the assigned work plan and achieved many remarkable results.
Specifically, the Sports Movement for All has developed extensively, many grassroots sports activities have been organized enthusiastically throughout the country, many provinces/cities have organized mass sports competitions well, and the movement "All people exercise following Uncle Ho's example" has spread strongly.
In addition, people's participation in activities such as Jogging, Cycling, Yoga, Aerobics, Volleyball, Pickleball... has increased significantly.
High-performance sports have achieved many remarkable results. Vietnamese athletes competed excellently and won 337 international medals, especially 20 gold medals, 27 silver medals, and 19 bronze medals at world tournaments.
Notably, the women's Sepak Takraw team made history when they won the Gold Medal for the first time at the World Cup, after a dramatic victory over Thailand in the final match of the women's 4-a-side event; the national men's football team won the championship for the third time at the Southeast Asian Football Championship and many outstanding achievements in the disciplines of Shooting, Boxing, Karate, 3-cushion Billiards....
Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong highly appreciated the results achieved by the whole sector in recent times. The Deputy Minister commended 7 individuals and groups honored by the exemplary conference for the period 2020-2025 this time.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that these honoring ceremonies or programs to honor typical advanced faces in sports activities need to be expanded from the grassroots to the national level, thereby creating motivation, will, and peace of mind for each athlete to constantly strive and continue to contribute to the country's sports.

Along with that, the tasks set by the sector must be linked to practical activities and determined to be effectively implemented, achieving even higher results in the coming time" - the Deputy Minister suggested.
Receiving the Deputy Minister's direction and suggestions on orientation, tasks and measures to organize the implementation of tasks in the last 6 months of 2025, Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet affirmed that the second half of 2025 is an important period for the industry, focusing on participating in the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand, the Asian Youth Games and especially the event of Vietnam hosting the ASEAN Ministerial Conference.
"This is a major task for the Ministry as well as the Sports and Physical Training sector. The Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department hopes to continue receiving the attention and close direction of the Ministry's leaders to successfully complete the tasks," said Director Dang Ha Viet.
