Hundred-year-old blacksmith village in Ha Tinh holds ceremony to worship the founder of the profession

The government and people of Trung Luong ward (Hong Linh town, Ha Tinh) organized a ceremony to worship the Saint of the blacksmith profession toeducate descendants to remember the person who had contributed to teaching and developing the traditional blacksmith and casting profession.

On the morning of February 16 (January 7), at the Tien Son cultural relic complex, the People's Committee of Trung Luong Ward (Hong Linh Town) held a ceremony to worship the Saint of the blacksmith profession.

Trung Luong blacksmith village is located at the foot of Hong Linh mountain. According to legend, the founder of the blacksmithing profession was Mr. Dung, from the Ly dynasty. To promote the traditional craft and to show gratitude to the founder who passed on and taught the craft to the villagers, every year on the 7th of January, the government and people of Trung Luong ward organize a ceremony to worship the Saint of the blacksmithing profession.

According to traditional rituals, the ceremony was performed by the elders of Trung Luong ward. Before that, each neighborhood group and blacksmith group in the ward had offerings to offer to the Holy Ancestor.

The ceremony attracted many blacksmiths and people inside and outside the ward to attend. This is also an opportunity for the descendants of Trung Luong ward who are living and working all over the country to commemorate the Saint of Blacksmiths; an opportunity to meet and exchange experiences in the traditional blacksmithing profession of their ancestors.
