Visiting and presenting gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Mui (residing in Tam Hiep ward) and families of seriously wounded soldiers in Dong Nai province recently, comrade Tran Hong Ha, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, expressed his deep gratitude to the great contributions of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Mui and seriously wounded and sick soldiers who have devoted and sacrificed for the Fatherland. Encouraging and sharing the sacrifices and losses of the families of the NCC, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha affirmed: The Party and State always care, encourage and express deep gratitude to heroic martyrs, people with meritorious services to the revolution, heroic Vietnamese mothers, and heroes of the people's armed forces.

“The thousand-year-old fine traditional morality of the Vietnamese people has always been emphasized. “When drinking water, remember its source” has been promoted through many movements and practical actions. The movement of “Repaying gratitude”, taking care of families of war invalids, martyrs and NCC has always received attention from the Party, State and the whole society, becoming a tradition, deeply rooted in the hearts of every citizen, as the most natural thing, creating the strength of national unity” - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha expressed his joy that the entire political system and the people of Dong Nai province not only pay attention to implementing the NCC policy well, but also have many outstanding policies, better than the national average, taking care of all aspects of NCC life. The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that the province will continue to promote the results achieved in the past time, continue to care, look after, and give the best things so that NCC can have a better life in all aspects...

According to the leader of the Department of Home Affairs, Dong Nai province is managing more than 82 thousand records, including more than 79 thousand records of NCC and relatives of NCC. There are 3,689 NCC records receiving monthly allowances according to the decisions of the Prime Minister. In the first 6 months of 2025, the Department of Home Affairs confirmed new, moved, terminated the regime, and corrected information for 1,086 NCC records. Monthly allowances were paid to more than 78.6 thousand people, with a total cost of over 329 billion VND; 27 Vietnamese heroic mothers who are still alive outside the standard regime are all supported for life by agencies, units, and enterprises... Thus, 100% of NCC in the area are cared for, appreciated, and well taken care of.

Implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Directive at the meeting of the Viet Minh General Department and relevant agencies in June 1947, the delegates attending the meeting unanimously chose July 27 as the National War Invalids Day. From July 1955, the Party and State decided to change it to War Invalids and Martyrs Day.

Visiting and presenting gifts to NCC in recent days, provincial leaders always expressed deep gratitude and appreciation to NCC for the revolution.

Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, expressed his emotion and admiration for the heroic example of sacrificing part of his body for the cause of national liberation and defense of the Fatherland. Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh informed the family of the veteran soldier of the results of the 3rd session of the Provincial People's Council which just ended on the morning of July 24. The Provincial People's Council has passed a resolution stipulating the regime and policies for the veteran soldier and his relatives. In this regulation, in addition to the cases that have been and are receiving preferential allowances according to Decree No. 02/2020/UBTVQH dated December 9, 2020 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on preferential allowances for veteran soldiers and their relatives and regulations, many other beneficiaries are also expanded according to the decisions of the Prime Minister and competent authorities.

Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh affirmed that the adoption of the resolution regulating policies for war veterans and their relatives with the revolution will further promote the work of caring for and paying attention to all aspects of war veterans' lives. He hopes that wounded and seriously ill soldiers and their families in the province will continue to live happily and healthily, set an example in strictly implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and educating their children and the younger generation to follow their example and contribute to building and developing a rich and civilized homeland.

In addition to the results achieved by Dong Nai in the past time, from July 1, 2025, implementing the 2-level local government model, the Provincial People's Committee has planned to organize 12 delegations including leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and functional agencies to visit, encourage and give gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of the people's armed forces, seriously wounded and sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 81% or more.

Currently, the life of the NCC is getting better and better in all aspects; all are higher or at least equal to the residents in the same living area. That affirms that the NCC and the revolution in the province are always cared for and looked after in all aspects; supported and created conditions for the wounded and sick soldiers who are “disabled but not useless”, the NCC and their families to continue to live well, become exemplary citizens and typical revolutionary families.

Mr. Huynh Cong Phuc (residing in Tran Bien ward), one of the 6 outstanding NCCs attending the national commendation ceremony, said that he was very happy and proud to be chosen to represent many NCC families in the province to attend the national commendation ceremony; at the same time, he wanted to send a message: NCCs with the revolution in Dong Nai province always express their trust in the Party's policies and guidelines, always strive to rise up to be worthy of the title of exemplary revolutionary family...

According to statistics from the provincial internal affairs sector, after the merger and implementation of the 2-level local government model, the number of NCC with revolution in the province increased; a general survey showed that NCC in the province all had a fairly good life, in line with the spirit of "leaving no NCC without attention".

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27), Major General Dang Van Lam, Standing Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Commander of Military Region 7 and the delegation recently offered incense and flowers to President Ho Chi Minh and heroic martyrs at the special national relic site of the Southern Vietnam Liberation Army Command (Ta Thiet Base, Loc Thanh Commune, Dong Nai Province).
In front of the memorial and temple of President Ho Chi Minh, the heroic martyrs, Major General Dang Van Lam and the delegation observed a minute of silence, respectfully remembering and deeply expressing gratitude for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and the martyrs; at the same time, promising before the souls of the martyrs, the Party Committee, the Command of Military Region 7 and the armed forces of Military Region 7 to continue to unite, overcome difficulties, and excellently fulfill their tasks in the new situation.
