Lawyer Tran Thi Nhu Thuy, Chairwoman of Phu Yen Bar Association, said that the Provincial Bar Association was established on October 24, 1990 under Decision 1393 of the Provincial People's Committee. On the first day of establishment, there were only 3 lawyers. Up to now, the Provincial Bar Association has more than 50 lawyers and 5 law trainees practicing at 18 law practice organizations. Over the 35 years of establishment, especially in the period of integration, administrative reform, building and perfecting the rule of law state, the Provincial Bar Association has made many positive contributions in giving opinions on law making, policy criticism, law dissemination, international cooperation, resolving civil and commercial disputes, etc.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Bar Federation awarded the Medal for the Lawyer's Career to lawyer Trinh Binh Tan; awarded certificates of merit to 3 groups and 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in the profession and work of lawyers. The Phu Yen Provincial Bar Association awarded certificates of merit to 16 law practice organizations and 23 individuals with outstanding achievements.
