The Tax Department has just issued Document No. 2847/2025 requesting tax authorities at all levels nationwide to focus resources to promptly resolve difficulties and problems of taxpayers in the process of implementing two-level local government and improve the spirit and service attitude of tax authorities and tax officials towards taxpayers.
According to the Tax Department, through information reflecting difficulties of taxpayers in the process of implementing the 2-level local government and information through measuring taxpayers' satisfaction with the service of tax authorities on the "Administrative Procedures Information System" (address: https://dichvucong.gdt.gov.vn), it can be seen that taxpayers have recorded and evaluated relatively positively the service of tax officials and the results of handling tax agencies' work. However, there are still cases where taxpayers evaluate "Very dissatisfied" and have negative reflections on the results of implementing tax administrative procedures and handling tax agencies and tax officials such as: Capacity and expertise of officials handling work; difficulties in contacting tax agencies by phone; difficulties in looking up tax policies and administrative procedures and using electronic tax applications, etc.
The Tax Department believes that although this is an isolated situation at some tax establishments, if not promptly corrected, it will create negative impacts on society, especially in the context that the entire Tax sector has been and is effectively implementing coordination with local authorities to implement a two-level government. The Tax Department requires provincial and municipal Tax Departments and departments and units under the Tax Department to focus on directing tax departments and grassroots tax agencies in the management area to enhance their responsibility in performing public duties, properly resolving legal regulations and on time for administrative procedures of people and businesses; correcting the spirit, attitude and style of tax officials when handling work, resolving administrative procedures and communicating with taxpayers.
