Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said on March 24 that the South American country is on track to restore production, despite unilateral US sanctions.

Speaking on national television, President Maduro affirmed that the current "war" is about production, supply, export and development.

He said the Venezuelan people are provided with everything they need and the country will never become a colony of any country.

President Maduro made the above statement in the context of US President Donald Trump's recent warning to impose a 25% tax on any country that buys oil and gas from Venezuela./.
