With the recovery and development of the economy and the strategy of diversifying consumption markets of export enterprises, in the first 6 months of 2025, Ha Tinh's main export items such as: fibers, textile yarns of all kinds, textiles and garments, tea... recorded impressive growth.
Specifically, the export turnover of various types of textile fibers and yarns reached about 6.79 million USD, an increase of about 112.85% over the same period in 2024; the export turnover of textiles and garments reached about 27.26 million USD, an increase of about 119.85% over the same period in 2024; the export turnover of tea reached about 2.73 million USD, an increase of about 10.53% over the same period in 2024...

Nghe Tinh Fiber Joint Stock Company (located at Nam Hong Industrial Park, Nam Hong Linh Ward) specializes in producing Ne20/1, Ne 21/1, Ne 7/1... yarns for markets in Pakistan, Bangladesh... and domestic consumption. In the first half of the year, the company's export activities continued to flourish with increased order output and stable product prices.
Ms. Dao Thi Phuong - Chairwoman of the Grassroots Trade Union, Head of Human Resources Department (Nghe Tinh Fiber Joint Stock Company) said: With a highly automated production line, the company's products meet the quality requirements of partners. In addition to the main export markets, the company is currently continuing to seek and sign contracts with new partners, striving to achieve an export turnover target of about 4 million USD in 2025.
According to records, free trade agreements with the EU, the US and countries in the CPTPP have expanded export opportunities for Vietnam, helping the textile and garment industry grow by reducing tariffs, expanding export markets and facilitating the exchange of goods and materials. Thereby, creating motivation for textile and garment enterprises in Ha Tinh to compete better, increase export turnover and market share in the international market.
Many garment export enterprises in the area such as: Haivina Hong Linh Company Limited (Nam Hong Industrial Park, Nam Hong Linh Ward), TAAD Ha Tinh Investment and Trade Production Joint Stock Company (Ha Huy Tap Ward), MTV Garment Export Joint Stock Company (Bac Cam Xuyen Industrial Park, Cam Binh Commune), Appareltech Ha Tinh Company Limited (Duc Tho Industrial Park, Duc Tho Commune) ... have signed orders until the end of 2025, some enterprises signed orders until the end of the third quarter of 2026. This is a positive signal for enterprises to increase foreign currency revenue.

Mr. Nguyen Hung - BGG Huong Son Garment Joint Stock Company (located in Khe Co Industrial Park, Son Tien Commune) said: "In 2025, the textile and garment industry in general and the production and business activities of enterprises in particular will develop rapidly compared to previous years. We specialize in sewing and processing fashion products for the US, Japan, Korea and China markets. The export output in the first half of the year reached about 4 million products, revenue of over 15 billion VND (an increase of about 15% over the same period) and is striving to achieve the export target of over 9 million products this year. Currently, in addition to training workers' skills and improving product quality, we are also recruiting more workers to carry out the construction of phase 2 of the factory, increasing the production capacity to meet the needs of the export market."
Besides the impressive growth in export items, in the first 6 months of the year, the export turnover of steel and steel billets did not reach expectations.
According to a representative of Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation, in the first half of 2025, the company continued to face difficulties in export activities due to the impact of steel industry protection policies of some countries in the world. Accordingly, the export turnover of steel and steel billets reached about 662.70 million USD, down about 32.11% compared to the same period in 2024.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Ha Tinh, in the first 6 months of the year, the province's total export turnover is estimated at 805 million USD, reaching 32.2% of the annual plan and decreasing by about 26.65% compared to the same period in 2024. The main reason for the decrease is that steel exports have decreased due to difficulties in finding foreign markets. However, Ha Tinh's export turnover in the past 6 months is still quite good compared to other provinces in the North Central region. With this result, Ha Tinh ranks 3rd in export turnover among the provinces in the North Central region (after Thanh Hoa and Nghe An).
Mr. Vo Ta Nghia - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ha Tinh said: In 2025, the province sets a target of 2,500 million USD in export turnover. To promote export activities in the area, in the coming time, the department will advise the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council to issue a policy on logistics and export development for the period 2026-2030; coordinate to advise on speeding up the progress of processing and export projects to put them into operation on schedule.

Ha Tinh Department of Industry and Trade will continue to survey and work with enterprises participating in export in the area to grasp the difficulties and obstacles and advise the Provincial People's Committee on timely and effective solutions; continue to organize trade promotion activities, forecast, provide market information, export partners; coordinate with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to continue to select and invite a number of prestigious domestic enterprises to participate in surveys and sign export contracts for a number of key agricultural products of the province.
