Quyet Mountain area, Trung Do ward (Vinh city), welcomes a large number of visitors every day, while the vegetation here is still dense, posing a high risk of forest fires, especially when some visitors bring fire.

In order to proactively prevent and fight fires, a pumping station was built here to bring water from Lam River to 3 tanks with a capacity of 80 - 120m³.

This system always ensures a ready water supply in case of an incident. In addition, 50 water hydrants are installed throughout the area, ready in case of fire.

In particular, around the mountainous forest area, 3 checkpoints have been set up to control people entering and leaving. Here, the Forest Rangers and functional units are on duty continuously, strictly controlling the bringing of fire and flammable objects into the forest.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Thang - Head of Vinh - Cua Lo City Forest Protection Department said: "Right from the beginning of the hot season, the Forest Protection force coordinated with Trung Do Ward's organizations to clear the undergrowth under the pine forest canopy and at the mausoleums. Many areas have signs prohibiting the burning of votive paper to raise people's awareness."

However, in the Quyết Mountain area, the area treated with vegetation is still very limited, only reaching 5/50 hectares. The treatment work is mainly concentrated in some key locations such as the Quang Trung Emperor Temple area, Vinh Weather Radar Station, 5 mausoleums and residential areas. The remaining area has not been treated, still has flammable vegetation, so the risk of forest fires during the hot season is very high.
