On the afternoon of July 31, Nghe An General Hospital 115 successfully performed surgery on Mr. Ha Minh Dong (41 years old) - an officer of Ky Son Forest Protection Department who had an accident while on duty helping people overcome the consequences of the flood.
Previously, on July 28, Mr. Dong rode a motorbike alone, carrying many belongings and food from Muong Xen commune to the flooded area of My Ly with the mission of helping the local people clean up and overcome the flood. When he reached the beginning of Huoi Tu commune, due to a landslide on Highway 16, Mr. Dong lost control of the steering wheel and fell.

"While I was walking, the road suddenly collapsed and became slippery. Luckily, I was driving slowly and had a helmet on so I wasn't seriously affected. But when I fell, my shoulder hit the road and broke my collarbone," Dong said. He was then taken by the rescue team to Ky Son Medical Center and then transferred to Nghe An General Hospital 115 for surgery to break his collarbone.
Mr. Dong is currently an officer of Nam Can Forest Ranger Station, in charge of Muong Tip commune. He has worked in mountainous areas for 8 years, in charge of remote areas such as Keng Du, Nhon Mai...

The leader of Nghe An Forest Protection Department said that since July 28, the unit has mobilized 80 officers from the Department and Tuong Duong Forest Protection Department, Ky Son Forest Protection Department to support people in My Ly and Tuong Duong communes to overcome the consequences of the flood.
The Forest Rangers proactively brought food, supplies, and tools such as hoes, shovels, generators, and pumps to help clear mud, clear roads, and clean people's homes. According to the plan, the Sub-Department will organize staff rotations and maintain on-site support until the disaster recovery work is completed.
