In Washington, DC, on the morning of November 5 local time, many voters cast their ballots at polling stations set up by the capital's government. The atmosphere of the US presidential election voting was solemn.

Amid concerns about possible violence and chaos, security and protection work on this year's US Presidential election day has been greatly enhanced.

Mr. Do Ngoc Hung - Commercial Counselor, Head of the Vietnam Trade Office in the United States, present at one of the polling stations at the Cleveland Park Library, DC, USA, said that according to regulations, to vote in the US Presidential election, voters must be US citizens, 18 years old on or before the election day and meet the residency requirements depending on each state. In general, the election atmosphere took place in a stable and orderly manner.

"The issues that American voters care about most in this year's election season include economic issues such as jobs, inflation, tax reform, government spending, infrastructure investment, and social issues such as abortion, access to health care, LGBTQ rights, immigration, gun ownership, environmental protection, climate change..." - Counselor Do Ngoc Hung informed and affirmed that this is considered an important political event that has an impact on global politics and economics.
