One of the key tasks of Tan Loc commune is to eliminate temporary houses for ethnic minorities, contributing to realizing the goal of sustainable poverty reduction and improving the quality of life for the people. With the attention of the Party, the State and the efforts of the local government, many households have been supported to build solid and cozy houses.
Mr. Lam Thu, Head of the Front Committee of Hamlet 7 and a prestigious person in the community, shared: “I am very proud to participate in implementing the State's support policy for ethnic minorities. People always comply with the regulations, I myself always closely follow, mobilize and support the construction of houses with the hope that everyone can settle down and have a good life, and their children can go to school.”
Mr. Danh Rieng and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Lien shared their joy with reporters.
Unable to hide their emotions, Mr. Danh Rieng and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Lien, a household that just received support to build a house, expressed: “The family is very grateful to the locality. Thanks to the new house, we can work with peace of mind and try to do business to escape difficulties.”
As for Mr. Trinh Xuan Men's family, the joy of having a new house was beyond expectation: "The rain leaked, the wind blew, and we were always worried that the house would collapse. Now that we have a new house, my wife, children and grandchildren are very secure. I am so happy that it is hard to describe!"
Speaking to reporters, Ms. Mai Tu Nhi, Vice Chairman of Tan Loc Commune People's Committee, said: "Currently, there are 285 ethnic minority households in the area. Previously, when there was no support policy from the Government , people faced many difficulties, from housing to production, there were shortages."
Having just received the handover of their new house, Mr. Trinh Xuan Men and his wife were busy cleaning up and preparing for a more stable life after a difficult time.
The situation has had many positive changes when support programs were implemented synchronously: "Later, the Government issued Target Programs for the development of ethnic minorities with contents such as support for housing, land, domestic water, crops, livestock, production chains... helping to significantly improve people's lives", Ms. Mai Tu Nhi added.
Not only stopping at material support, the locality also focuses on improving knowledge and skills for the people. “We organize training courses, provide advice on gender equality, disseminate laws, implement new economic models, support transportation to seasonal jobs… People are increasingly accessing more knowledge and life skills to increase income and stabilize their lives,” Ms. Nhi added.
With the motto “No one is left behind”, Tan Loc commune continues to review and mobilize resources to ensure that 100% of ethnic minority households are supported with safe and solid housing. At the same time, the locality focuses on vocational training, job creation and development of appropriate economic models, gradually improving people's lives.
Caring for ethnic minorities in Tan Loc commune is not only implementing policies and guidelines, but also the responsibility, affection, and humane sharing of the entire political system, all aiming towards a common goal: building a livable countryside, with no more temporary houses and no more poverty.
