Chairman of Dong Hoi Ward People's Committee Hoang Ngoc Dan said that in recent times, the construction, launching of emulation movements and replication of advanced typical examples of localities in the ward have had many innovations, strengthening the leadership role of Party committees and authorities, close coordination of mass organizations and especially receiving the active participation of a large number of people, achieving encouraging results.

Notably, localities have coordinated and integrated the implementation of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" with 100% of localities in the area meeting urban civilization standards, 2/2 localities meeting the criteria for building new rural areas (NTM) in the period of 2021-2025, 1 locality meeting the 2025 model NTM standard and 6 villages meeting the model NTM residential area (KDC) standards. Thanks to that, the appearance of rural areas is increasingly changing in the direction of urbanization, keeping up with the pace of modern and civilized life.

Along with that, implementing the movements "Joining hands for the poor - No one is left behind", "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary houses, dilapidated houses", localities in the area have also mobilized the active participation of organizations and individuals, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life and significantly improving housing for poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households, helping many families stabilize their lives... As a result, the whole ward has supported the construction of 36 new houses, repaired and renovated 18 houses for poor and near-poor households, with a total cost of over 3 billion VND. Thanks to that, the poverty rate in the area has decreased from 0.25% in 2020 to 0.13% by the end of 2024.

Movements such as: "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; practicing thrift, fighting waste", "Cadres, civil servants, and public employees compete to implement office culture", "The whole country competes in innovation and digital transformation", "Digital education for the masses" ... have been widely deployed. The patriotic emulation movement in Dong Hoi is also comprehensively demonstrated in the fields of economy, culture-society, national defense-security, Party building and the political system ...

Multiplying advanced examples

Along with the emulation movement, the commendation work in the period of 2021-2025 of localities in the ward has many innovations, clear changes, increasingly substantial and effective. The selection and honoring of advanced models are carried out objectively, in accordance with regulations, ensuring timeliness, fairness, publicity and transparency, thereby contributing to motivating and encouraging the spirit of emulation, increasingly multiplying advanced models and new factors throughout the area.

Typically, schools such as Bao Ninh Kindergarten, Chu Van An Primary School, Dong My Primary School are the leading units awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag by the Government ; Duc Ninh Dong Kindergarten, Nam Ly Secondary School No. 1... were awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag by the Provincial People's Committee.

“In the propaganda work to implement patriotic emulation movements, the Front and the ward's unions have effectively integrated digital transformation, contributing to changing thinking and reforming old working habits to quickly update and apply scientific and information technology achievements in all aspects of social life. In particular, the unit has upgraded and expanded the Dong Hoi Ward Front fanpage, promptly posting and propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws to the people; effectively maintaining the Zalo model of the residential area Front with a participation rate of over 85% of households in each residential area...", Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Hoi Ward Bui Quang Vinh shared.

In the emulation movement "Innovation in management, teaching and learning", there are typically teachers Le Thi Tra My (Dong Phu Primary School), Nguyen Thi Hien (Nam Ly Secondary School No. 2) and many students who won prizes at the provincial and national levels, such as: Nguyen Nhat Minh, Nguyen Hoang Lam, Nguyen Phan Ha Anh, Le Ngoc Bao Han (Nam Ly Secondary School No. 1); Tran Huy Bao Chau, Tran Trung Duc (Dong Hai Secondary School); Dinh Mai Trang, Duong Minh Tam (Dong Phu Secondary School).

After 5 years of implementing the emulation movement, many collectives and individuals in the ward have been commended by all levels and sectors. Of which, 3 school units received the Government's Emulation Flag, 2 individuals were awarded the Third Class Labor Medal and 10 individuals were awarded the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit; 8 units were awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag by the Provincial People's Committee; 63 units were recognized as Excellent Labor Collectives; 13 units and 56 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; 31 individuals were recognized as Provincial Emulation Fighters.

In labor, production, economic development, enriching the family, contributing to society, typical examples are Anh Duong Company Limited, Linh Hue Company Limited, Mai Thinh Company Limited, The Hoa Wooden Furniture Company Limited. In particular, there is Mr. Dang Ngoc Anh with a comprehensive livestock model with products achieving 3-star OCOP, awarded a certificate of merit by the Prime Minister in 2024; Ms. Phan Thi Huong (Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the old Phu Hai ward) with her silent contributions to help many people in difficult circumstances rise up in life, integrate into the community...
