VHO - On July 29, Lai Chau Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the 4th Advanced Typical Conference to summarize the patriotic emulation movement and reward work in the period of 2020 - 2025 and propose directions and tasks for emulation and reward work in the period of 2025 - 2030.

Accordingly, in the period of 2020 - 2025, Lai Chau Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will constantly strive to excellently complete its professional tasks. Organizing and implementing emulation movements well has received positive responses from all civil servants, public employees and workers. Through the emulation movement associated with the implementation of "Studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh ", it has made an important contribution to the successful implementation of targets and tasks.

Implement well the State management of culture, sports, tourism and family. Implement well the projects under the national target program on schedule, ensuring quality. Cultural and artistic activities are organized to meet the spiritual needs of the people and serve the political tasks of the locality.

The tourism and service sector has achieved many outstanding results, fully exploiting the unique tourism potential of the locality. The tourism service business network in the province is increasingly developing. Tourism products are increasingly diversified with product lines based on the potential strengths of Lai Chau.

As a result, during the period, heritage conservation work with 4,655 collected artifacts, 6 intangible cultural heritages ranked nationally, organized 7 training courses on basic information skills. The whole Lai Chau province currently has 975 mass art teams, 86.1% of households have achieved cultural titles, 100% of villages implement village covenants and conventions.

To date, 20 tourist destinations have been recognized as provincial-level tourist destinations and 1 tourist destination has received the ASEAN Community Tourism Award. In the period of 2020 - 2024, the whole province will welcome and serve 3,877,000 visitors, of which 55,200 will be international visitors, with an average growth rate of 30.3% per year.

The physical education and sports movement for everyone develops with many diverse and rich forms, attracting a large number of people to participate in physical education and sports.

Currently, Lai Chau province has 149,469 people regularly practicing sports, accounting for 30.25% of the population; 19,238 sports families, accounting for 18.3% of the total number of families; with 426 clubs and sports training points.

Sports and physical activities organized in conjunction with holidays, Tet, important events of the province and especially sports activities associated with tourism such as paragliding, mountain climbing, marathon... have contributed significantly to promoting the potential strengths and good traditional cultural values, the hospitality of the ethnic people in Lai Chau province to domestic and international tourists.

In particular, Lai Chau's high-performance sports have initially approached and achieved positive results at national competitions, creating a solid foundation for the next stage. From 2020 to the end of 2024, 438 medals of all kinds have been won...

Awarding Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement

In the period of 2025 - 2030, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lai Chau province continues to innovate, improve the quality of emulation and reward work and effectively implement emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial People's Committee and sectors and units.

In particular, 10 specific goals, 8 groups of tasks and key solutions are set out, such as: striving for over 98% of civil servants, public employees and workers to achieve the title of advanced workers every year; 88% of villages, hamlets and residential areas to have cultural houses; 86% of households, 78% of villages, hamlets and neighborhoods and 98% of agencies, units and enterprises to meet cultural standards; the average growth rate of tourist arrivals is 10%/year, by 2030 the whole Lai Chau province will welcome over 2.4 million visitors...

Delegates attending the conference focused on clarifying some contents on developing high-performance sports in Lai Chau - challenges and solutions; solutions to improve the effectiveness of building and guiding art troupes at the grassroots level, contributing to preserving cultural identity associated with tourism development...

At the Conference, Mr. Tran Manh Hung, Director of Lai Chau Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, praised the achievements and requested that in the coming time, the sector continue to propagate and thoroughly grasp Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on patriotic emulation; Directive No. 41-CT/TW dated December 26, 2024 of the Politburo on strengthening the Party's leadership over emulation and reward work in the new situation.

Strengthening education on patriotic traditions, national pride, solidarity, and self-reliance to continue raising awareness among party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers about the position and role of emulation and reward work.

Continue to effectively implement patriotic emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister, focusing on the emulation movements "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas"; "For the poor - no one is left behind"; "Cadres, civil servants and public employees compete to practice office culture"...

The conference launched the Emulation Movement for the period 2025 - 2030 with the theme "Lai Chau Culture, Sports and Tourism Industry: Solidarity, Creativity, Breakthrough, for Sustainable Development".
