If the scene of relatives saying goodbye to each other at Nha Trang station is filled with tearful faces and hasty hugs before the train departs, then when the train returns, the emotions take on a different tone - nostalgic, heart-pounding and filled with the joy of reunion. Only when you travel far can you feel the feeling of excitement when the train begins to touch familiar lands. For those from the North to the South, when the train crosses the Ca Pass, puts the iron wheels on Khanh Hoa land, their hearts feel lighter. When the train hugs the Vinh Luong mountainside, bows to greet the city appearing in the distance - where the city lights sparkle like the Milky Way reflecting on the rippling sea - then the heart really beats fast. Like a child far from home seeing the old roof, the train seems to be in a hurry, shortening each meter of track to get closer to the beloved coastal city.

The scenery on both sides of the railway at that time seemed to add a piece of music to the symphony of people's hearts. The silvery white reeds on both sides of Luong Son slope fluttered in the wind like falling clouds from the sky. The train passed through the endless Ru Ri tunnel, through the rocks and mountains, people's hearts seemed to have just touched a deep note in their memories. Then the train rushed through San mountain pass, and when the rustling sound of the iron wheels tapping on the iron bridge over Cai river rang out, the city truly touched their eyes. Through the window, familiar images and scenes appeared. The train slowed down, the sound of the iron wheels like the footsteps of someone tiptoeing home. In the distance, the shadow of the Stone Church clock appeared, familiar as a welcome signal. And at the station were the open arms of loved ones, the tearful smiles of a return.
The train from the South brought with it a different range of colors and scents - the vast sunlight of the steppe, the scent of the countryside and the strong wind of Cam Ranh and Cam Lam. Passing through vast sugarcane fields and lush mango gardens, the train seemed to be traveling through a lush green area. It was the season of mango blossoms, small flowers like golden dust dotted on the branches outside the window - the whole sky seemed to bloom with them. When the train loudspeaker blared: "Cay Cay - Dien Khanh Station is coming soon!", we knew we had reached the city. Then the train continued to Phu Vinh Station, where there was a two-story, mossy station house over a hundred years old, making our hearts touch distant memories by the train window. When the train headed towards Ma Vong, the sound of the brakes lasted for a long time like a pause, before the city lights flooded in. In the past, this place was a field of water spinach, a field of fragrant flowers for Tet in December. Now it is a bustling city, but in people's souls, the memories still have the same old colors.
Then, Nha Trang station appeared. The train door opened, passengers rushed down, each with their own appearance - some hugging each other, happy and sad, some quietly taking a deep breath of the air of their homeland. In the noise of the station, there was a small silence in people's hearts - a sacred silence of reunion.
Nha Trang at that time was not just a coastal city. Nha Trang was the mother's eyes looking at her child through the train window, the father's stooped figure holding an old motorbike waiting for his child, the old friend's hair soaked with the sea wind. It was the smell of fish sauce, the smell of banh can, the smell of the Cai River wind on a windy afternoon.
Maybe, for some people, the train is just a means of transportation. But for the son of the coastal city, the return train is a journey back to memories, an emotional journey that every time he passes by, his heart is filled with love.
