On the morning of August 21, the Vietnam Space Center held a ceremony to attach a sign and open the Vietnam Space Museum at Hoa Lac High-Tech Park ( Hanoi ).
Held on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, and towards the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, the event is an important milestone, marking the tireless efforts over the past decade of the collective of experts and researchers of the Vietnam Space Center and the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology to successfully implement a number of satellite projects and gradually master the technology.
According to the representative of the Vietnam Space Center, the Vietnam Space Museum is not only a modern architectural work, but also the crystallization of the intelligence, creativity and aspiration to reach the stars of the Vietnamese people. This is a comprehensive experience space of Space Science and Technology where visitors can go back in time together to learn about the origin of the universe, to explore today's advanced technologies.
The museum started construction in October 2022 with a total area of over 3,000 square meters including outdoor and indoor exhibition spaces, divided into 5 main areas with unique themes.

The outdoor space displays models of the planets in the Solar System and a unique sundial.
The indoor space consists of 2 floors. On the first floor, visitors will experience basic scientific experiments on light, sound, Newton's laws of gravity, as well as learn about planets, stars, galaxies, and especially the solar system.
The second floor consists of two areas. The space technology exhibition area displays models of the LOTUSat-1 satellite and satellites developed by Vietnam, rocket models of many countries, and a model of the International Space Station ISS. The space technology application area is where the contributions of space science and technology in daily life are demonstrated, from weather forecasting to communications and global positioning applications.
The Astronomy Tower area is a special highlight for visitors with a modern reflecting optical telescope with a diameter of 500 mm that can clearly observe the sky.
Another area is the space-shaped dome projection house equipped with a system of 6 high-resolution projectors and a scale of 100 seats. The curved dome creates a sense of depth like a 3D effect, recreating realistic images of the sky and stars, giving viewers the experience of flying into space.
In addition, the museum also shows the deep connection between Vietnamese culture and history with space through ancient Vietnamese star maps, interactive screens simulating the bronze drum face, symbolizing the Vietnamese worldview with the image of the Sun in the center and legends associated with Vietnamese culture such as Cuoi on the moon, Nguu Lang-Chuc Nu, the efforts of generations of Vietnamese people expressing the desire to conquer space and the universe.

The space combines lighting effects, advanced simulation techniques, and meticulously crafted satellite, planet, and rocket models. The exhibits are arranged chronologically - from the formation of the universe to current achievements and future directions. The project promises to become an educational destination, inspiring passion for space science, especially among the younger generation.
A representative of the Vietnam Space Center said: "We believe that, with vivid experiences and useful knowledge, the museum will become a beacon that ignites the passion for exploring science and technology for the young generation."
According to Dr. Le Xuan Huy - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Space Center, after the opening ceremony, the Vietnam Space Museum will plan to open for trial tours./.
