Opening of May Waterfall Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival 2024

On the evening of June 1, at the cultural house of Dang Thuong village, Thach Lam commune (Thach Thanh), the opening ceremony of the 3rd May Waterfall Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival in 2024 was held, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate.

This activity is part of the efforts of the Party Committee and the government of Thach Lam commune and Thach Thanh district in promoting and introducing the tourism potential of May waterfall, the cultural values ​​and people of Thach Lam to the people and tourists inside and outside the district. At the same time, it is an opportunity to call for investment in tourism development, create jobs, and improve the material and spiritual life of the people in the commune.

According to the leaders of Thach Lam commune, after 2 times of organizing the May Waterfall Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival, the number of tourists coming to visit and experience has increased rapidly. On average, in the past 2 years, the commune has attracted about 200,000 tourists each year.

To promote May waterfall tourism development, in recent times, Thach Thanh district and Thach Lam commune have done a good job of promoting and attracting investment to build infrastructure according to the approved plan. At the same time, they have opened training courses on tourism and travel services to improve the quality of human resources serving tourism.

It is known that the 3rd May Waterfall Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival in 2024 will take place until June 2. Participating in the festival, locals and tourists will enjoy unique cultural and artistic programs. At the same time, they will experience folk games and performances of the Muong ethnic group living in the area.

Also during the festival, the People's Committee of Thach Lam commune organized volleyball competitions and traditional sports such as: Stick pushing, shuttlecock throwing, raft fighting, etc., attracting a large number of athletes from inside and outside the commune to participate.
