Opening of Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival 2024: Sparkling peach colors

– On the evening of February 1 (ie December 22, Quy Mao year), at Hung Vuong Street Square, Chi Lang Ward, Lang Son City, the Organizing Committee of the Lang Peach Blossom Festival and activities celebrating the Party and the Year of the Dragon - 2024 organized the opening ceremony of the festival with the theme: "Sparkling peach blossoms - Shining, reaching far".

Attending the opening ceremony on the Central side were comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie K'dam, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Council for Ethnic Minorities; leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST).

Central and Lang Son provincial delegates attended the opening ceremony.

On the side of Lang Son province, there were comrades: Hoang Van Nghiem, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Lang Peach Blossom Festival and activities to celebrate the Party and the New Year of the Dragon - 2024; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

Also attending the opening ceremony were representatives of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangxi, the People's Government of Chongzuo City, Pingxiang Town, Guangxi, China; the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam; the Embassy of Singapore in Vietnam; representatives of the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the provinces: Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen and program sponsors along with a large number of people and tourists.

Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival is a series of activities and events that Lang Son province maintains and organizes annually. Over many years of organization, the festival has become a typical, outstanding, and unique cultural and tourism activity that attracts a large number of domestic and foreign tourists to visit.

Comrade Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival and activities celebrating the Party and the New Year of the Dragon - 2024 delivered the opening speech of the festival.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: This year, the Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival is held with the theme "Sparkling peach blossoms - Shining far and wide" with many attractive and vibrant activities, imbued with unique and novel indigenous culture, promising to bring visitors real experiences as well as to immerse themselves in the simple and rustic nature of the mountains and forests of Lang Son.

In particular, the festival also demonstrates the gratitude and hospitality of the ethnic people in the province; demonstrates the vision, commitment and responsibility of Lang Son province in preserving and promoting the value of historical and cultural heritage, creating a solid foundation for developing Lang Son tourism, becoming a bright spot in tourism in the northernmost part of the country.

Special opening art performance at the festival opening program

At the opening ceremony, delegates enjoyed special art performances with the theme “Sparkling peach blossoms – Shining, reaching far”. The performances were carefully and meticulously staged with 3 main parts: “Legend of a flower” about spring and the meaning of peach blossoms in Lang Son; “Fragrance and color of Lang Son” expressing the beauty of the land and people of Lang Son; “Lang Son my homeland, Vietnam my country” Lang Son in the period of innovation, development and integration… The performance gathered hundreds of artists and actors from inside and outside the province.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded first, second and third prize certificates to gardeners who won the beautiful peach garden award.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the 2024 Beautiful Peach Garden and Peach Blossom Tree Competition in Lang Son awarded prizes to the owners of 14 beautiful peach gardens and 21 beautiful peach blossom trees; The Organizing Committee of the 2024 Beautiful Peach Blossom Painting Competition in Lang Son awarded 34 prizes to the works participating in the competition.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded first, second and third prizes to the groups and individuals who won the Beautiful Peach Tree award.

Leaders of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded first, second and third prizes to the winners of the beautiful peach blossom painting contest in Lang Son.

Immediately after the opening ceremony of the festival, provincial leaders, delegates and visitors visited the Lang Spring Flower Street at Chi Lang Park, Chi Lang Ward, Lang Son City and the Exhibition "Listening to the Ky Cung River Telling Stories" associated with the reenactment of the Ky Lua market space at the Provincial Museum.

The Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival 2024 takes place from January 26 to March 9, 2024 (from December 16, Quy Mao year to January 29, Giap Thin year). The festival has many unique activities, typically:

5. – Ta Phu, Lang Son city.

6. – Spring Cross Country Race.

7. – Then, Sli, Luon singing festival and lion and cat dance of Tay and Nung ethnic groups.

8. – The 3rd Raft Racing Festival on Ky Cung River in 2024.

9. – Open contest “Culinary Flavors of Lang Son” in 2024.

10. – Exhibition “Listen to the Ky Cung River tell stories” and recreate the Ky Lua market space.

11. – Display, introduce, promote tourism images, Lang Son Geopark area and support information for tourists; exhibition of Vietnamese Cinema past and present; Spring Reading activities – Spreading knowledge.
