The program was organized by Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Association in coordination with related units and Artist Thanh Thuy, with the participation of representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province, leaders of Ham Kiem Commune People's Committee and a number of units and dragon fruit cooperatives in the area.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Huynh Canh, Chairman of Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Association (Lam Dong province) said that this is a special event to honor dragon fruit - the pride of Lam Dong land and people. On the other hand, it is also an opportunity to promote typical agricultural products to the world.
This year’s “Dragon Fruit Livestream Party” is not only an opportunity to promote agricultural brands, but also a place to connect farmers – businesses – scientists – consumers. Along with that, it aims to promote tourism, experience smart agriculture, honor culture and creativity. At the same time, it creates motivation for Lam Dong dragon fruit to continue to grow – not only as an agricultural product, but also as a national brand.
As a connector at the “Dragon Fruit Livestream Party”, artist Thanh Thuy - CEO of TP Entertainment Media Company shared: Currently, the agricultural market in general and dragon fruit in particular have unstable prices. Agricultural products are delicious but do not reach consumers on time. Meanwhile, traditional sales methods are limited by geographical distance and distribution channels. Therefore, local people and businesses can start from: Putting products on e-commerce platforms such as TikTok Shop; filming videos, livestreaming sales right in the garden, at the factory, so that customers can see the transparent planting - harvesting - processing process.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee conducted a TikTok Shop Livestream to introduce dragon fruit and other local agricultural products and specialties. It is expected that on the evening of August 19, a Facebook Livestream will be held - Stories of connecting and selling specialties.

Currently, Lam Dong province has about 25,800 hectares of dragon fruit, accounting for nearly 40% of the country's dragon fruit area. However, only about 18% of dragon fruit output is consumed domestically, mainly through large supermarket chains such as Co.opmart, Winmart, BigC and Thu Duc and Binh Dien wholesale markets. Retail prices range from 18,000 - 22,000 VND/kg (white flesh) and 30,000 - 35,000 VND/kg (red flesh).

The price of dragon fruit at the end of the season in the growing area is unstable, currently around 5,000 VND/kg, so most farmers are losing money.
