Handing over charity houses to poor households

QTO - On the morning of August 20, the Provincial Red Cross Association coordinated with Quang Tri Electricity Company to hand over a gratitude house to the family of Ms. Tran Thi Giang, in Hoa Binh village, Quang Trach commune.

Ms. Tran Thi Giang, born in 1993, is disabled and in extremely difficult circumstances. She lives in an old house that has seriously deteriorated but cannot afford to repair or rebuild it. Since May 2025, thanks to the "Support Program for Building Gratitude Houses" implemented by the Provincial Red Cross Society, Ms. Tran Thi Giang has been able to build a new, more solid house.

After more than 3 months of construction, the newly completed house has a usable area of about 60m², a corrugated iron roof, with a total cost of 170 million VND. Of which, the Provincial Red Cross Society supported 70 million VND, Quang Tri Electricity Company supported 70 million VND, the rest was contributed by relatives and neighbors in materials and labor.

The new house not only helps Tran Thi Giang's family stabilize their housing when the storm season approaches, but is also a source of spiritual encouragement and strength to overcome difficulties and rise up in life.

Also during this period, the Provincial Red Cross Association coordinated with Quang Tri Electricity Company to support the construction of 5 gratitude houses for 5 households in difficult circumstances in the province.
