Joy from new schools
In late August, preparations for the 2025-2026 school year at schools in Ha Tinh province became bustling. From the central region to the mountainous, remote and isolated areas, the work of repairing, upgrading and investing in educational infrastructure is being urgently completed by units.
At Cam Hung Primary School (Cam Hung Commune), the new school year brings special joy as the school moves to a new facility in Thang Thanh Village - an important milestone after many years of operating at two separate schools.

Mr. Tran Trung Yen - Principal of the school informed: "The new facility has been invested with more than 45 billion VND, including 2 main classrooms, 10 subject classrooms, 10 principal offices, a security house, fences and a spacious concrete yard. The project is not only convenient for studying and traveling but also provides a modern and safe educational environment for students".
Immediately after receiving the project, the school mobilized parents to join in transporting desks, chairs, and equipment from the old school. This cooperation not only helped save time and money but also strengthened the connection between the school and parents.
In Thanh Sen Ward, Tan Giang Primary School also welcomed the new school year with a spacious appearance. With a total investment of 58 billion VND from the local budget, the school is equipped with a system of modern high-rise classrooms, a multi-function building, a school office, a semi-boarding kitchen, a playground and a synchronous physical training area. Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan - Principal of the school shared: "Complete facilities are a great source of motivation for teachers and students to make more efforts in teaching and learning".

Not only schools in the center are invested, but in mountainous and border areas, the education sector also prioritizes resources to narrow the gap in teaching and learning conditions. Son Ninh Primary School (Huong Son Commune) is one of the bright spots, with the construction of a new 2-storey headmaster's house, the renovation of 4 classrooms and the upgrading of the school yard to more than 2,000m², with a total cost of nearly 11 billion VND.
“The investment in facilities has boosted the morale of teachers and parents. Since the beginning of August, many parents have joined teachers in cleaning, planting trees, and decorating classrooms, ready to welcome students back to school,” the school principal said excitedly.
Ready for the first day of school
Along with infrastructure investment, school cleaning, renovation and decoration activities are also being implemented simultaneously throughout the province.
At Nguyen Du Primary School (Thanh Sen Ward), preparations for the new school year are closely linked to a series of activities to celebrate major national holidays. The school grounds are resplendent with flags, propaganda slogans, and lively miniatures.

According to Ms. Tran Thi Thu Cuc - Principal of the school, this year's opening ceremony will be held online nationwide, this is a special occasion to spread the spirit of solidarity among millions of teachers and students nationwide. Therefore, for many days, teachers have been present at the school to decorate, creating an exciting atmosphere for the first day of school on August 22 and to welcome the major national holidays.
At Dai Nai Primary School (Thanh Sen Ward), taking advantage of the holidays, parents of each class directly participated in repairing tables, chairs, electric fans, air conditioners, etc., contributing to saving costs and ensuring safety for students. Mr. Nguyen Hai Ly - parent of class 2C said: "Many devices have deteriorated after a long time of use. Instead of hiring workers, we have proactively painted tables, chairs, and maintained equipment in the classroom."

Not only in urban areas, but also in schools in border areas, parents actively cooperate with schools to clean, clear, and renovate playgrounds and classrooms. At Huong Lam Kindergarten (Huong Xuan Commune), dozens of parents volunteered to clean up the campus, clean classrooms, replant vegetable gardens and ornamental plants, and prepare to welcome nearly 300 students at two schools.

The classrooms are painted with new colors, the flower beds are colorful, every corner of the classroom is meticulously cared for… showing the dedication of the teaching staff, the companionship of parents and the determination of the entire education sector. Everything is ready for a new school year, in the belief in an increasingly modern, safe and effective learning environment.

In addition to completing facilities, schools in the area are also urgently implementing professional work, training teachers, developing school year plans, arranging staff, preparing school supplies... to ensure adequate conditions for the opening ceremony and teaching and learning throughout the school year.
“From the end of 2024, the Ha Tinh Department of Education and Training will continue to coordinate with the Department of Finance and localities in advising the Provincial People's Committee to allocate funds for investment in construction, renovation, repair and upgrading of school facilities in the area. Localities are also actively interested in and devoting investment resources to the system of educational and vocational education facilities.
In addition, public service units under the Department have also implemented the repair, renovation, upgrading, expansion and construction of new construction items under approved projects. A total of 21 units have been invested, with a total cost of up to 51.4 billion VND. Up to now, most of the projects have ensured construction progress, ready to be handed over and put into use before the new school year", Mr. Nguyen Hong Cuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh informed.
