According to Al Jazeera on August 24, the Israeli Army confirmed that it had carried out a series of airstrikes on Yemen's capital Sanaa, dropping about 30 different types of bombs and ammunition on the area.
"About 10 Israeli Air Force aircraft, along with refueling aircraft, were used in the attack, targeting Houthi military infrastructure and the Asar and Hizaz power plants," the Israeli military said.

Israel's defense minister said the country's military would destroy Houthi infrastructure and all of their other capabilities.
According to Houthi-affiliated media, at least two people were killed and five others were injured in an Israeli attack on the Yemeni capital.
The Israeli military stressed that the strike was in response to repeated attacks by the Houthis against Israel.
Two days earlier, Houthi forces launched a ballistic missile and two drones at Tel Aviv and Ashkelon in Israel.
The Israeli military confirmed that the Houthis used cluster munitions, a type of projectile that can explode into multiple pieces as it flies toward its target, in the attack. Israeli authorities did not report any casualties or significant damage at the time.
