Lac Thuy district honors 15 outstanding collectives and individuals in the voluntary blood donation movement

Leaders of Lac Thuy District People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to outstanding individuals in the voluntary blood donation movement.

Donating blood to save lives is a noble act, demonstrating the compassion and responsibility of each individual to the community. In 2024, at the District Voluntary Blood Donation Festival, more than 900 volunteers registered to donate blood; 952 units of blood were received, reaching 151% of the plan assigned by the province. Through voluntary blood donation programs, there are many outstanding collectives and individuals. Many units have good and creative ways of propagating and mobilizing cadres, civil servants, public employees and people to be willing to donate precious drops of blood for the community.

In the coming time, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in Lac Thuy district hopes that the Party Committees and authorities of the communes will continue to improve the quality of voluntary blood donation activities; regularly innovate propaganda and mobilization work, promote the spirit of solidarity, mutual love and humane traditions of the nation. Mobilize healthy people to become regular blood donors so that more and more people will participate in blood donation.

At the conference, 5 groups and 10 individuals who were outstanding in the voluntary blood donation movement were honored, commended and rewarded; 22 volunteers who registered to donate organs were granted cards by the National Organ Transplant Coordination Center.
