Ea Sup District Medical Center said that the district has just recorded a food poisoning case that caused 29 people to be hospitalized after attending a wedding party in Ia Rve commune.
Accordingly, on the afternoon of December 26, at the family of Mrs. HMM (village 12, Ia Rve commune, Ea Sup district), a wedding party was held for her daughter and nearly 200 guests were invited to attend. The wedding party was organized by Son Toan catering service (village 7, Ea Roc commune). The menu at the wedding party included dishes: steamed pork with lemongrass and chili, steamed squid, steamed shrimp, mixed hot pot, fried chicken with fish sauce and soft drinks...

At 1 a.m. on December 27, Ms. V.'s son-in-law had symptoms of abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea and was taken to the Ea Sup District Medical Center for treatment by his family. Later, many people attending the wedding party also showed similar symptoms and had to be taken to local medical facilities for emergency treatment.
On the afternoon of December 27, the Ea Sup district health sector confirmed that a total of 29 people were hospitalized and are being treated at the district medical center.
Immediately after the incident, staff from Ia Rve and Ea Roc Commune Health Stations verified, inspected the situation, and updated the situation related to the food poisoning; at the same time, made a record and took samples of food and drinks provided by the family.
On the afternoon of December 27, the People's Committee of Ea Sup district established a surprise inspection team to inspect the food safety conditions of Son Toan restaurant and catering service. The incident is still being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
