Mr. Nguyen Van Hien, Hamlet 13, Khanh An Commune, member of An Hoa Cooperative. Previously, Mr. Hien's family planted 3 hectares of water fern combined with raising freshwater fish, with a relatively good income. However, there were times when the water fern had no outlet and the price dropped, causing a significant decrease in income. However, since joining the cooperative, the harvested water fern has been sold out at a stable price, and since then, Mr. Hien's family's life has become increasingly prosperous.

The model of growing water fern combined with raising freshwater fish brings in hundreds of millions of dong in income each year for cooperative members.

Mr. Hien said: “Previously, when the season came, the price of water fern often dropped and there was no outlet. Since joining the cooperative, the consumption market has been expanded, so the output of water fern products is more stable and the price is also better. Currently, my 3 hectares of water fern bring in an income of 30-40 million VND/month, and the annual catch of freshwater fish also brings in tens of millions of VND, so my family's life is becoming more and more prosperous.”

Also a member of the An Hoa Cooperative, Mrs. Tran Thi Hien's family, Hamlet 14, Khanh An Commune, has 3 hectares of water fern growing combined with raising freshwater fish. Currently, Mrs. Hien's family earns more than 40 million VND per month from selling water fern, which is truly an ideal source of income for a rural family. Mrs. Hien excitedly said: "Thanks to joining the Cooperative, being guided by the members of the Cooperative to post product photos for online sale, my water fern products are increasingly known and ordered by more and more people, thanks to which the output is guaranteed, and the income is much more stable than before."

The cooperative operates effectively, attracting many households to participate. When it was first established, the cooperative had only 16 members, now it has increased to 102 members. This is an important premise, abundant resources contributing to the development of the cooperative.

Ms. Dang Yen Nhu, Director of An Hoa Cooperative, said: “When the cooperative members increase, the agricultural products produced are abundant, creating conditions for the cooperative to sign contracts with partners to consume products in large quantities, thanks to which the products made by the cooperative all have stable output. Currently, the cooperative is operating in many fields, from agricultural production to small-scale industry, especially buying and selling fresh water fern products, freshwater fish, dried bananas, dried bananas and many other products”.

The cooperative's products are strongly promoted at trade fairs and widely advertised on social networks, thereby expanding the consumer market.

The cooperative's products are strongly promoted at trade fairs and widely advertised on social networks, thereby expanding the consumer market.

Along with developing human and material resources, the cooperative focuses on promoting the application of science and technology in production, supporting members in building production models associated with OCOP products, gradually improving product quality, applying food safety standards to meet market demand. In addition, the cooperative actively participates in trade promotion programs, expanding links with businesses to find stable output for products. Thanks to that, the cooperative's revenue has grown significantly, and members' income has improved, about 30 million VND/month.

Ms. Dang Yen Nhu added: “The cooperative is investing in upgrading infrastructure, building a preliminary processing area, and preserving products that meet food safety standards. In particular, the cooperative focuses on expanding the organic production model, ensuring that products meet clean and safe standards. The cooperative is also researching and developing products processed from water fern to increase value and diversify products. At the same time, it trains and improves the capacity of members in management skills, operating the cooperative according to a modern model, and increasing the application of digital technology in the management, production and consumption of products.”

With the achieved results, along with the attention to infrastructure investment and the acumen of the cooperative members, we believe that An Hoa Cooperative will continuously develop and expand its production scale, aiming to build local product brands, contributing to promoting the sustainable development of the collective economy./.
