Meeting to celebrate the founding day of the Vietnam Women's Union

On October 17, the Provincial Women's Union (PPU) held a meeting to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2023) and Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20). Attending the meeting were comrade Lam Dong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee.

In a warm atmosphere, the delegates reviewed the tradition of Vietnam Women and the development of the Vietnam Women's Union over the past 93 years, emphasizing that under the leadership of the Party, the Vietnam Women's Union has continuously developed and matured. In historical periods, Vietnam Women's Union has proactively overcome difficulties and challenges, actively studied, worked, fought, and conducted scientific research... deserving the eight golden words that Uncle Ho awarded: "Heroic, indomitable, loyal, and courageous". Inheriting and promoting that fine tradition, in recent years, the Women's Union at all levels in the province has made great efforts, overcome all difficulties, implemented movements and tasks of the union, together with the Party Committee and people in the province to successfully implement the goals and tasks set forth by the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress and the resolutions of the Women's Congresses at all levels.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee congratulated and commended the achievements of the Provincial Women's Union in the past time. He requested that all levels of the Women's Union continuously promote the glorious tradition of the Vietnam Women's Union and the achievements; at the same time, he emphasized a number of important tasks, requiring all levels of the Union to focus on implementing well in the coming time, namely: Improving the quality of propaganda and mobilization work for cadres, members, and women to properly implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws. Working with authorities at all levels to effectively implement the 3 national target programs for the period 2021-2030. Actively advising the Party Committee and authorities to lead and effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies on women's work and gender equality. Constantly innovating the content and methods of operation, closely linked to ensuring material and spiritual benefits for members, women, etc.

At the meeting, the Provincial Women's Union commended and congratulated 6 grassroots union officials who were awarded by the central and cluster emulation and rewards in 2023; awarded certificates of merit to 22 grassroots union officials with outstanding achievements in union work and the women's movement; and awarded the "For the Development of Vietnamese Women" Medal to 56 individuals with outstanding achievements.
