More than 500 athletes participate in the national youth kickboxing championship in Binh Dinh

This is a tournament organized by the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation in coordination with the Department of Sports and Physical Training (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Dinh.

The 2024 National Youth Kickboxing Championship will take place from July 27 to August 5, with more than 500 athletes from teams from more than 40 provinces, cities and sectors across the country participating. Accordingly, athletes will compete in a knockout format in the low kick category for ages 13-14, 15-16 and 17-18.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Bui Trung Hieu, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Dinh, said that the 2024 National Youth Kickboxing Championship taking place in Binh Dinh will promote the kickboxing training movement in localities and through the tournament, units will evaluate the training and education process of their athletes, helping young athletes to be determined to strive to practice.

"The leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Dinh also requested that the members of the Organizing Committee and referees work with a high sense of responsibility, objectivity, accuracy, compliance with the law and in accordance with the regulations of the tournament. At the same time, the localities and units participating in the competition must promote the spirit of solidarity, compete honestly, demonstrate the spirit of noble sportsmanship , create cultural beauty in sports, and contribute to the audience many good and dramatic matches," Mr. Hieu emphasized.

Kickboxing is a highly practical sport, widely developed in many countries. Every year, the world championships and Asian championships attract many athletes from many countries to participate.
