The benchmark scores for 2025 are surprising as many majors have benchmark scores ranging from 29 to 30 points at many universities. To be admitted to these majors, candidates must score from 9.7 to 10 points per subject.

However, this year's benchmark scores also have a strong differentiation not only between schools but also between majors within each school. Besides majors with extremely high benchmark scores, there are many majors that only need 5 to 6 points/subject to be admitted to top schools.

It is noted that at many top schools, many training majors have a standard score of 15-18 points, candidates only need to achieve 5 to 6 points/subject.

There are 2 majors with a benchmark score of 30/30 this year, but at the University of Foreign Languages ​​(Vietnam National University , Hanoi ), there is a major with a benchmark score of just over 15 points.

Specifically, the Financial Economics major of this school has a standard score of only 15.06, candidates only need to achieve a minimum of 5.02 points/subject.

At the University of Natural Sciences (Ho Chi Minh City National University), the lowest benchmark score this year is 17 points for the D07 combination (math, chemistry, English) in the Environmental Science major with an English-enhanced program.

Thus, to be admitted to this major at the school, candidates only need to score less than 5.7 points/subject.

In group B00, this industry has a standard score of 17.6; in group A01, the standard score is 18.

On the contrary, there are majors that only require below 6 points to more than 6 points/subject, candidates can become students of this top pedagogical university in the country.

Some majors include Russian Language with benchmark scores of 17.13 and 18.25 depending on the combination; French Language with benchmark scores of 17.97 and 19; Information Technology with benchmark scores of 18.35 and 19; Applied Biology with benchmark scores of 19.5 and 19.6.

At Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, candidates only need 6 points/subject to be admitted to the two majors of Public Health and Nutrition. The standard score for these two majors this year is only 18 points.

According to admissions experts, low admission scores at many top schools are often concentrated in fields that are little known to candidates, new fields, or fields with “selective” career characteristics, resulting in low competition. Meanwhile, these fields are in high demand.
