On June 6, the Binh Dinh Province Investment Promotion Center said that since the beginning of the year, the province has attracted 54 investment projects with a total registered capital of more than VND17,360 billion, reaching 54% of the yearly plan and a sharp increase compared to the same period last year.

Of these, there are 47 domestic projects with a total capital of over VND15,400 billion, along with 7 FDI projects, equivalent to USD77.5 million. Notably, not only has the quantity increased, but the investment structure this year also shows positive movements.

Specifically, there are 33 industrial projects, 10 construction - infrastructure projects, 7 projects in the fields of trade - services - tourism and 4 projects in agriculture - forestry - fishery. Economic zones, industrial parks and industrial clusters continue to be the main destinations, attracting nearly 2/3 of the registered projects.

Các nhà đầu tư đến Bình Định đều được lãnh đạo tỉnh đón tiếp chu đáo và trang trọng
Investors coming to Binh Dinh are all warmly and solemnly welcomed by provincial leaders.

It is expected that by the end of June, the whole province will have about 65 licensed projects, completing 65% of the year's target. This is considered an important "stepping stone" for Binh Dinh to accelerate in the last 6 months of the year.

Although the investment picture is improving, attracting and implementing projects in Binh Dinh still faces many challenges, focusing on three "bottlenecks": infrastructure, planning and administrative procedures.

Many newly established industrial clusters overlap with mineral planning, forcing adjustments to investment plans. In some places, infrastructure land prices tripled after selecting investors, leading to adjustments to the rental ceiling.

Technical infrastructure in many industrial clusters still does not meet requirements. Some other projects are behind schedule due to inconsistencies between land use planning and sectoral planning, or problems in coordinating document processing between departments and sectors...

Lãnh đạo UBND tỉnh Bình Định và Tập đoàn Syre (Thụy Điển) ký kết bản ghi nhớ về hợp tác đầu tư dự án Tổ hợp sản xuất tái chế vải polyester
Leaders of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee and Syre Group (Sweden) signed a memorandum of understanding on investment cooperation in the polyester fabric recycling production complex project.

Faced with this situation, the Binh Dinh Department of Finance has proposed that the Provincial People's Committee assign specific targets to each commune and each infrastructure management unit; at the same time, strengthen inter-sectoral direction and coordination to quickly process project dossiers.

On the government side, Binh Dinh province is preparing to organize bidding for 59 key projects in areas such as renewable energy, urban - tourism, high-quality healthcare ... Notable among them are wind power projects, tourist areas at De Gi lagoon, international hospitals in Quy Nhon and Long Van...

In the group of 21 land use rights auction projects, only 1 project has completed procedures and been implemented, showing that there is still a lot of room but it is necessary to improve the organization process and make procedures transparent.

The province also identified key solutions including: speeding up site clearance, resolving planning conflicts, perfecting the investor selection process, and ensuring the progress of document processing at departments and branches.

In particular, Binh Dinh is planning to organize investment promotion delegations abroad, focusing on inviting strategic partners, aiming at large-scale projects with technology spillover and sustainable development.
