Railway units have mobilized materials, equipment and more than 150 workers to urgently repair the North-South railway section that was eroded and severely damaged after storm No. 6 in Quang Tri .

Previously, Giao thong Newspaper reported that heavy rain due to the influence of storm No. 6, on the evening of October 27, flood water rose and overflowed the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway section Km 857+680 - Km 589 in Quang Tri province.

At this section, flood water rushed across the railway, washing away rocks on the railway….

To ensure safety, railway units have blocked the Sa Lung - Tien An section.

On the morning of October 28, the water receded, showing that the flood had washed away rocks, eroded the roadbed, and shifted rails in the section Km 587+800 - Km 588+000, Km 588+500 - Km 588+900 in the Sa Lung bridge area (Vinh Linh district).

Therefore, along with focusing efforts to fix the problem and soon reopen the route, train passengers are currently being transferred from Dong Hoi station and Dong Ha station and vice versa to continue their journey.
