More than 100 golfers participate in a fundraising golf tournament for rural children

With the goal of continuing its mission of sowing knowledge and spreading the passion for reading to the community, especially children in rural areas, Xom Dao Library (Binh Thanh village, Hanh Nhan commune, Nghia Hanh district, Quang Ngai province) will organize the third fundraising golf tournament, on the occasion of the 9th anniversary of its establishment and operation.

A meaningful event, the third Fundraising golf tournament is scheduled to take place on July 5 at Legend Golf Course Da Nang , gathering golf lovers and kind-hearted people who want to contribute to the development of reading culture.

After 9 years of establishment and development, from a passionate idea of Mr. Nguyen Van Phap - the founder of the library, Xom Dao Library has become a cultural highlight, a familiar address for many students and book lovers in and outside Nghia Hanh district. From a few hundred initial books, up to now, the library has owned about 17,000 books of various genres, along with a spacious, friendly reading space, and especially free service for the community.

Following the success of previous fundraising golf tournaments, this tournament aims to mobilize resources to continue maintaining and upgrading facilities, adding new books, diversifying reading and learning promotion activities, and supporting disadvantaged students in the area, and aiming to build a separate fund for the library in the near future.

Sharing about the event, Mr. Nguyen Van Phap said: "The 9-year journey of Xom Dao Library cannot be without the cooperation and support of community sponsors and golf lovers everywhere. This golf tournament is not only a meaningful sports activity but also an opportunity for us to connect hearts, together building a brighter future for children through knowledge from the pages of books".

The tournament is expected to attract more than one hundred golfers from across the country, especially in Da Nang, Quang Ngai and neighboring provinces, competing in an 18-hole stroke play format. In addition to the main prizes, the Organizing Committee will also have many attractive technical prizes and gifts from the Organizing Committee and sponsors. Especially, like every year, the trophy for the best player (Best Gross) is a uniquely crafted work with many symbolic meanings. In addition, golfers also have the opportunity to compete for the "hole in one" prize worth one hundred million to buy books.
