Workshop on socio-economic development orientations of Lam Dong province in the period of 2026-2030 and the following years

BTO-On the morning of June 10, 2025, in Da Lat City, a workshop with the above content was jointly organized by the three provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong.

Comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee delivered the opening speech at the Workshop.
Chairing the workshop, comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee and 3 Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committees of the 3 provinces merged into the new Lam Dong province. Attending the workshop, there were more than 250 delegates including the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches, enterprises... of the 3 provinces; especially more than 15 scientists, intellectuals, leading economic and scientific experts in the country.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee emphasized: “Today's workshop is an important forum for Lam Dong to have more data and practical arguments, thereby repositioning more carefully, orienting more clearly the development of Lam Dong province in the near and far future, in which the immediate future is to integrate into the draft Documents of the new Lam Dong Provincial Party Congress - with the spirit of innovation and creativity, the aspiration to build Lam Dong province to develop dynamically, sustainably, with a unique culture, a higher standard of living and quality of life than the national average.”

To ensure the quality of the Workshop and achieve the set goals, Provincial Party Secretary Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam also raised some suggestive issues about the challenges and opportunities of a province with such a large natural area, proposed a new development model... for delegates, experts and scientists to study, discuss and clarify further.

As planned, the workshop will take place in 1 day with 2 sessions. Session 1 in the morning will have 7 live and online presentations analyzing the opportunities and challenges in socio-economic development when merging 3 provinces, as well as the immediate requirement of achieving double-digit GRDP growth.

Specifically, the presentation "Major orientations for socio-economic development of Lam Dong province after the merger of the three provinces of Lam Dong, Dak Nong and Binh Thuan" by Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Van Huyen - Member of the Central Theoretical Council, Director of the Institute of Socio-Economics and Environment, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; "Promoting marine economic development associated with ensuring national defense and security after the merger of the three provinces of Lam Dong - Binh Thuan - Dak Nong in the period of 2026 - 2030, with a vision to 2050" by Prof. Dr. People's Teacher Mai Trong Nhuan - Former Director of Hanoi National University; "Promoting the innovation ecosystem to develop a green economy in Lam Dong" by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Tho - Deputy Director of the Institute of Strategy and Policy on Agriculture and Environment - Ministry of Agriculture and Environment; “Developing cultural industries in the new era and development orientation for Lam Dong province after the merger” by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong - Director of the Vietnam Institute of Culture, Arts, Sports and Tourism; Comprehensive solutions for agricultural development towards high-tech application associated with processing and consumption markets after the merger of Lam Dong, Dak Nong and Binh Thuan provinces” by Dr. Pham Hong Hien - Deputy Head of the Department of Science and International Cooperation - Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences; “Developing green and circular industry in Lam Dong province - towards sustainable production” by Associate Professor, Dr. Luu Duc Hai - Director of the Institute of Urban and Development Studies; and the presentation “Solutions for infrastructure development, inter-regional connectivity after the formation of the new Lam Dong province on the basis of merging Lam Dong, Dak Nong and Binh Thuan provinces” by Dr. Hoang Huu Phe - Director of R&D Design Company.

The second session will take place in the afternoon of the same day with the next 4 presentations and the remaining time will be for discussion, exchange and debate.
