Conference to disseminate new regulations on tax laws for FDI enterprises and VCCI members

(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of June 25, the City Union of Friendship Organizations in coordination with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Northern Coastal Branch held a conference to disseminate and answer some new regulations on current tax laws for representatives of about 500 FDI enterprises, business members of friendship organizations and VCCI in Hai Phong city.

Overview of the Conference.

At the Conference, business representatives were informed by experienced experts who have a good understanding of business practices in Hai Phong and answered new points in the regulations of the Law on Tax Administration, Law on Value Added Tax (VAT), Law on Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and Law on Personal Income Tax (PIT).

Chairman of the City Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Van Thu delivered the opening speech at the Conference.

From the perspective of people's diplomacy, these are considered the first steps, laying the foundation for developing business members in the city's friendship organizations, contributing to diversifying people's diplomacy activities in the area.

Currently, Hai Phong city has trade relations with more than 130 countries and territories. In recent years, the number of businesses in the area has been constantly increasing, reflecting the dynamic development trend of the city. When Hai Phong officially merges with Hai Duong province and operates under a new model from July 1, the business community will face many development opportunities along with many challenges in the process of integration and market expansion.

On May 4, 2025, the Party Central Committee issued Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on private economic development. This is considered an important turning point in development thinking and policy, aiming to promote the strong development of the private economic sector, becoming an important driving force of the country's economy. In particular, reforming tax administrative procedures is one of 50 key tasks identified by the Government to create favorable conditions and support businesses to develop sustainably.
