BHG - On the afternoon of June 20, the Provincial Association of Oriental Medicine (AMS) held the 2nd Executive Committee Meeting of the 8th term, 2024-2029. The meeting aimed to evaluate the results of activities in the first 6 months of the year, discuss solutions to implement key tasks in the last months of the year, and at the same time orient the work of consolidating the Association's organization in the context of merger according to the new roadmap.

In the first 6 months of the year, the Standing Committee and the Provincial Medical Council have operated in accordance with regulations, strengthening the direction of the Association at all levels to strictly implement resolutions, regulations and work programs on traditional medicine (TM). Political and ideological education for members has been focused on, associated with the dissemination of medical ethics and orientations for the development of Oriental medicine in the new period. Regarding the organization of the association, the whole province admitted 17 new members, reaching 34% of the annual plan, bringing the total number of members to 3,600. The grassroots levels of the Association have coordinated with the Department of Health to provide humanitarian medical examination and treatment, give Tet gifts to the poor, plant medicinal plants on Tet; coordinate with the Health Stations of communes and towns to prioritize the use of medicinal plants in the treatment of seasonal flu, dengue fever, and prevent the return of Covid-19... The whole province has examined and treated 124,669 people with TM, reaching 69.2% of the annual plan. Of these, 28,958 patients were treated with non-drug methods such as acupuncture, massage, acupressure, etc. The Provincial Medical Council also collected 12 herbal remedies from herbs and folk experience; at the same time, implemented 2 grassroots scientific research projects and 1 provincial project.

At the conference, the leaders of the Provincial Medical Council approved the charter and operating regulations of the 8th term Executive Committee of the Association, 2024-2029; collected opinions on the plan to arrange and merge the Provincial Medical Council into the Mass Association Working Committee under the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and at the same time propagated and oriented the ideology for cadres and members before the policy of merging the province from July 2025. The delegates expressed high consensus, affirmed the sense of responsibility, solidarity, and readiness to adapt to the new organizational model to continue promoting the role of Traditional Medicine in health care for the people. The conference focused on discussing key tasks for the last 6 months of the year such as: Innovating and improving the quality of inspection, supervision and management of medical examination and treatment activities using Traditional Medicine; implementing the work of collecting, scientific research, and training to improve the professional qualifications of cadres and members; Propaganda and guidance for members to develop medicinal herbs according to the value chain according to market demand.
At the conference, the following awards were announced: Awarding the title of "National Outstanding Oriental Medicine Practitioner" in 2025 by the Vietnam Medical Council to 6 members; The Vietnam Medical Council awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 groups and 22 individuals with outstanding achievements in building and developing the Association in 2024; The Provincial Medical Council awarded Certificates of Merit to 24 groups and 42 individuals with outstanding achievements.

* On the morning of June 20, the Provincial Veterans Association (CCB) held the 9th Executive Committee Meeting, term VII, 2022-2027 to evaluate the results of the Association's work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy key tasks for the last 6 months of 2025. In the first 6 months of the year, the Association of War Veterans at all levels continued to promote its exemplary role in building the Party, the government, and the great national unity bloc; closely coordinated with the Border Guard to patrol and protect the border, maintaining political security and social order and safety. The Associations at all levels introduced 49 outstanding members to join the Party; coordinated in selecting and conscripting 178 young men to join the army. In economic development and poverty reduction, the Associations at all levels coordinated with the Social Policy Bank to manage more than 1,332 billion VND, lending to over 22,000 households, and creating jobs for 22,201 workers. The movement "War Veterans help each other reduce poverty and do good business" continued to spread widely. Members contributed more than 3,000 working days and donated 6,320 m² of land to build welfare facilities; Support seeds, materials, road construction, lighting projects... contributing to the construction of the New Rural Area.

The provincial Association of War Veterans actively implemented the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. By the end of June, all levels of the Association across the province had eliminated 196 temporary houses. The Association also mobilized resources to donate over 4,500 Tet At Ty 2025 gifts to members and people with meritorious services, with a total value of over 4.2 billion VND. The Central Association supported 400 million VND to build 5 gratitude houses. Traditional education activities for the younger generation were widely deployed. The Association coordinated to organize 150 traditional talks, consulting and supporting youth to start and establish businesses for more than 33,000 union members and young people. At the same time, it organized meetings to express gratitude to war veterans and former youth volunteers on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

In the last 6 months of the year, the Provincial Association of War Veterans determined to focus on implementing 12 key groups of tasks, focusing on propagating the 18th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030; arranging the organizational apparatus according to the roadmap for merging the province and commune-level administrative units; continuing to effectively implement the emulation movement "Exemplary War Veterans", national target programs; promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style...
