GD&TĐ - In 2025, the Academy of Finance will use 3 admission methods but will not consider admission based on test scores to assess candidates' abilities and thinking.

On the morning of July 19, the Hanoi University of Science and Technology held the 2025 Admissions Consulting Day with the participation of more than 60 universities and colleges. Parents and relatives can visit and learn about the schools' admissions procedures this year after receiving their high school graduation exam scores.

Talking to Education and Times Newspaper about this year's enrollment, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung - Director of the Academy of Finance said that this year the academy will enroll students using 3 methods: Direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training ; combined admission; admission based on high school graduation exam results; however, it will not consider the exam scores to assess capacity or thinking.

In recent times, the admission method based on the results of competency assessment and thinking assessment of many higher education institutions has had certain results for schools. However, when too many schools organize and participate, it also makes candidates and parents worried because of the pressure of having to participate in too many exams.

"In fact, in previous years, the number of candidates applying for admission to the academy based on the results of the competency and thinking assessment exams was not much. Normally, the schools that organize competency and thinking assessment exams are the ones that candidates apply to mainly. Therefore, in 2025, we will stop considering admission based on competency and thinking assessment exam scores," emphasized Director of the Academy of Finance Nguyen Dao Tung.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung, in 2025, the Academy of Finance will have a wide range of benchmark scores, possibly from 22 to 28 points, not as concentrated as in 2024 (from 26.03 to 26.85 on a 30-point scale and 34.35 to 36.15 on a 40-point scale).

Thus, the benchmark scores of some training majors of the Academy of Finance this year may decrease by 3-4 points compared to last year. A wide range of scores will be an opportunity for candidates to confidently register for the right major to increase their chances of being admitted to the academy.

In 2025, the Academy of Finance will open 9 more international certificate-oriented programs such as: Banking; Financial investment; Tax and tax administration; Management accounting and management control; Public accounting; Real estate valuation and business; International business; Business administration; Investment economics.

In the standard program, the academy opens new training programs: Political economy - finance; Economic law; Financial mathematics; Data science in finance; Artificial intelligence in financial accounting.

Some newly opened training majors of the Academy are expected to have quite high admission scores, because these are majors that are very attractive to candidates and have a great social demand for high-quality human resources. To accompany candidates, the 2025 Admissions Council of the Academy of Finance is expected to reduce the entrance score threshold by about 1 point.
