GD&TĐ - On August 22, first graders along with 9th and 12th graders in An Giang province eagerly returned to school in a joyful and excited atmosphere.

At A Phu Hoa Primary School (Phu Hoa, An Giang ), from early morning, many parents brought their children to school to be warmly welcomed by teachers in each class.

Teachers at Nguyen Du Primary School (Long Xuyen Ward, An Giang Province) welcome first graders to school.

After seating arrangements were made, the homeroom teachers came to the desks to get to know each student. At the same time, they guided the students about the study and living routines in elementary school.

Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Oanh, homeroom teacher of class 1A, said: There are some students in the class who are still unfamiliar with the new environment. The teacher cares and encourages them to confidently integrate with their friends in common class activities.

Ms. Le Phung Hue, parent of Nguyen Le Ngoc Ngan, shared: "On the first day of school, the child was very excited. Before 6am, the child urged me to prepare everything to take him to school. When he arrived at school, he met some of his kindergarten friends again. He looked very happy, excited, and confident. The teacher welcomed him to class very warmly. I felt very secure."

Ms. Ngo Minh Trang, Principal of Phu Hoa A Primary School, said: In the 2025-2026 school year, the school has a total of 25 classes, including 5 first-grade classes with 202 students. This morning, 100% of students came to school.

To prepare for welcoming students back to school, the teachers and staff worked together to clean the school, rearrange desks and chairs, decorate classrooms, and coordinate with the local health sector to spray disinfectants... to ensure the best learning conditions for students, creating a joyful, safe atmosphere and a friendly, harmonious environment to help them confidently enter the new school year.
