Among the 12 schools under the Hanoi National University, the University of Education has the lowest tuition fee, estimated at 14.1 million VND/academic year (same as last year). Students majoring in Pedagogy receive state support for tuition and living expenses.
Following are the University of Natural Sciences and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities with the lowest tuition fee of 16.9 million VND/school year (an increase of about 1.9 million VND compared to last year).
In contrast, the School of Business and Administration has the highest tuition fee of up to 130 million VND/academic year for the Bachelor of Business program (double major in Marketing and Business Analysis). This is a new program that will start enrolling students next school year.
The two schools with majors earning over 100 million VND/year are the International School and the University of Economics, both of which are joint training programs, with degrees awarded by foreign universities.
This year, Hanoi National University will enroll more than 21,100 students into 12 member schools. Admission methods include: direct admission and priority admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and VNU; based on high school graduation exam results and HSA assessment scores.
The average admission score of Hanoi National University in 2024 fluctuates quite widely, from about 20 points to more than 38 points, depending on each member school and training major.
This year’s high school graduation exam will take place on June 26-27. Candidates will take four subjects instead of six as before. The two compulsory subjects are Math and Literature; the two optional subjects are Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology and Foreign Languages (English, German, Russian, Japanese, French, Chinese, Korean).
Regarding the formula for calculating graduation scores, exam scores account for 50%; the rest is the grade 10, 11 and 12 transcript scores (50%) and priority points if any. Compared to before, the transcript scores increased by 20%. The high school graduation exam results were announced on July 16, 1 day earlier than last year.
