Learning from Uncle Ho, “practice what you preach” is the guiding principle of Ms. Nguyen Thi Nu Luu, Secretary of Party Cell 7, An Hai Bac Ward (Son Tra District). From that ideological orientation, she has led the Party Cell to always complete its tasks excellently for many consecutive years, becoming a typical bright spot of the locality.

Ms. Luu believes that it is a journey of continuous learning, training and growth. “In the past, I worked in a large company, with the title of department manager. The direction, management and operation were all under administrative orders, with clear division of labor and responsibilities. But when participating in the operation of residential area party cells, one must “skillfully mobilize the people” so that people listen, understand and join in the implementation. Only when words go hand in hand with actions can the operation of residential area party cells be effective,” Ms. Luu said.

According to her, learning from Uncle Ho is not about great things, but about a sincere way of life, a simple lifestyle, a spirit of wholehearted devotion to the people, and consistency between words and actions. Learning from and following Uncle Ho is no longer a slogan or a superficial movement, but has truly permeated daily life, becoming a way of thinking, a positive habit in work, in the way of living and in daily interactions with others through kind deeds. Ms. Luu believes that when she retires, if she still has the strength and passion, she will be determined to contribute to the residential area, spreading good deeds and beautiful actions so that the lives of people in the residential area will increasingly develop and prosper.

As the Party cell secretary, she focuses on building a united Party cell, dedicated to the activities of the residential area, associated with building and promoting the effective role of the Front work committee, residential groups and mass organizations, striving to excellently complete all aspects of the activities of the residential area.

For many consecutive years, Party cell 7 has been classified as a clean and strong Party cell, completing its tasks excellently, and was awarded a certificate of merit by the Ward Party Committee; 10/10 mass organizations and residential groups were classified as completing their tasks well or better, of which 9/10 units were awarded certificates of merit for completing their tasks excellently.

As the head of the Red Cross branch, from 2016 to 2024, the branch mobilized 180 units of blood for humanitarian blood donation; mobilized and donated to support people in the Central and Northern regions affected by natural disasters, storms and floods, and earthquake victims in several countries with a total amount of nearly 50 million VND. As the head of the Charity and Children's Rights Protection Branch, Ms. Luu mobilized families to live happily, love, and care for children. She proactively supported and mobilized donors to support and help people and children in difficult circumstances, unfortunate circumstances, accidents, and serious illnesses, and donated 10 wheelchairs to war invalids, sick soldiers, people with revolutionary contributions, and disabled people in difficult circumstances in the ward and neighboring wards, worth 28 million VND. As a member, Ms. Luu and the Residential Area Learning Promotion Association mobilized donations to organize awards for 405 excellent students, with a total amount of 81 million VND.

“Live a useful life, not only for yourself but also for the community. Be a good person and never stop learning, because that is the most practical way to show gratitude and continue the noble ideology of President Ho Chi Minh ,” Ms. Luu emphasized.
