Returning to the starting lineup for the first time at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup after a thigh injury, Dembele immediately shone in the big match against Real Madrid in the semi-finals at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford (New Jersey).
The French star assisted Fabian Ruiz to open the scoring in the 6th minute, before doubling the lead himself just three minutes later, contributing greatly to PSG's 4-0 demolition.
“This is the first match I have had Dembele in the best shape," coach Enrique shared after the match. "He is a special player, a decisive factor in the match and the hope of all fans. I hope we will continue to have him in the final."

In the semi-final match early this morning, PSG won 4-0 with a goal from Dembele, a brace from Fabian Ruiz and a goal from Ramos that sealed the 4-0 score. With this resounding victory, PSG advanced to the final against Chelsea, still at MetLife, at 2am on July 14, Vietnam time.
If they defeat the English representative, PSG will complete a historic season, after winning Ligue 1, the French National Cup, the French Super Cup and the Champions League.
“We are just one game away from making history and winning all the titles this season,” coach Enrique stressed. “That means a lot to the club, the players and the fans.”
