The effectiveness of taking care of workers' lives from the Party's policy

BPO - Implementing Conclusion No. 391-KL/TU dated June 25, 2022 of the Standing Committee of Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee on the Party's attention, leadership and direction for the Trade Union organization in caring for workers' lives, in the period of 2021-2025, trade unions at all levels in the province have strengthened care and protection of the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers.

Specifically, introducing jobs, training, disseminating laws, proposing to improve the quality of shift meals, improving the working environment, taking care of health, building harmonious relationships between employees and employers, visiting, giving gifts and organizing cultural and sports activities, supporting the construction and repair of union shelters and solidarity houses, etc.

Up to now, trade union organizations at all levels have created jobs for more than 160,000 workers (80% of the target); trained workers have reached 85.7%; enterprises with trade union organizations have dialogued, negotiated and signed collective labor agreements reaching 102.5%; introduced 5,481 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration, training and admission (273.9% of the target), of which 2,001 union members have been admitted to the Party. At the same time, support has been given to build 117 houses and repair 15 houses for union members with difficult housing circumstances, worth more than 5 billion VND (117% of the target); Union members and workers in difficult circumstances who are eligible for support from the Provincial Trade Union's Social Fund reached 100%, of which 488,366 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with serious illnesses, work-related accidents, and those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic... were taken care of with a total of over 161 billion VND.

Provincial leaders and the Provincial Federation of Labor commended collectives and individuals with achievements in occupational safety and hygiene work.

Chairwoman of the Provincial Labor Federation Nguyen Thi Huong Giang said: Conclusion No. 391-KL/TU of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee has created a strong change in the awareness of Party committees and authorities at all levels about caring for workers' lives. Many policies on employment, housing, kindergartens, cultural institutions, ensuring labor safety and health of workers have been implemented, meetings, contacts, and dialogues between Party committees, authorities, businesses and workers... have been strengthened, and workers have been cared for more. Trade unions at all levels have been proactive and creative in advising and proposing policies and solutions to innovate trade union activities, flexible and resolute in issuing programs and plans, focusing resources on caring for and protecting workers' rights.
