Binh Tan meets advanced new rural commune standards in 2024

BPO - On the morning of June 25, the People's Committee of Phu Rieng district held a ceremony to announce and receive the decision to recognize Binh Tan commune as meeting advanced new rural standards in 2024.

Leaders of Phu Rieng district and many people in Binh Tan commune attended the announcement ceremony.

Selected as a pilot for building an advanced NTM commune in 2023, Binh Tan commune only achieved 10/20 criteria according to the set of advanced NTM criteria. The speed of economic restructuring is still slow, agriculture is still the main economic sector, and infrastructure has not been invested synchronously. However, with high political determination, the participation of the entire political system and the entire people, after more than 1 year of efforts to implement the National Target Program on building advanced NTM in Binh Tan commune, 20/20 criteria have been completed.

Mr. Le Anh Nam, Chairman of Phu Rieng District People's Committee and district leaders presented flower baskets to congratulate the government and people of Binh Tan commune.

Up to now, the rate of central commune roads paved with asphalt is 18km, reaching 100%; village and inter-village roads are 36.15km. Rural traffic works invested in construction have created conditions for people to develop socio -economy. Agricultural production continues to develop, many production models, linkage models, and application of scientific and technological advances bring economic efficiency and high income to local people. The rate of regular employment in the commune is 85.26%; average income per capita is 84.57 million VND/year; the poverty rate is only 0.1%.

People are happy with the achievements in building advanced new rural areas of the commune.

Up to now, Binh Tan commune is the 5th locality of Phu Rieng district recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as meeting advanced new rural standards.
