The KRX system is an information technology system for managing and operating transactions of the Vietnamese stock market that was signed by the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange and the Korea Stock Exchange (KRX) since 2012.

In 2023, the Ministry of Finance has directed units to be determined to complete the project and prepare the system to be ready for operation by the end of the year, but so far, the system is still missing its appointment with Vietnamese investors.
Specifically, KRX's testing status has been going on since the end of August when only 25/76 securities companies completed testing 100% of the system's functions.
By September 2023, the Vietnam Stock Exchange has sent an official dispatch to member securities companies regarding the second testing of the KRX system to ensure the progress of the system launch.
According to the plan, the system will enter the FAT phase, the final test, from November 6, 2023 to December 1, 2023, and the system operation phase will take place from December 11, 2023 to December 25, 2023.
However, the system has not been officially put into operation until December 25, 2023. Thus, investors in the Vietnamese stock market still have to use the old trading system and the dream of trading stocks within a day (T+0) will have to continue to wait in the near future.
