Like many Chut ethnic people in Rao Tre village, Phuc Trach commune, Ho Thi Suong was born into a family with difficult circumstances. Her father left when she was young, leaving her mother to work as a hired hand to support Suong and her siblings, but the job was unstable and the income was not much. Feeling sorry for her mother's hard work, and the difficulties and obstacles on the way to school, Ho Thi Suong often thought about dropping out of school to help her family...

Like many ethnic minority children in the area, Ho Thi Suong had to get used to living away from home early to study at Ha Tinh Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School. The 7 years of attachment to this school was a meaningful time when Suong always received sharing, care, and encouragement from teachers and friends, helping her gradually mature, confidently overcome difficulties to excel in studying and life...
In the journey to reach Ho Thi Suong's dream, there is also the dedicated and responsible companionship of officers and soldiers of Ban Giang Border Post, including Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thien - Head of Rao Tre Working Group (Ban Giang Border Post). He is also the person who has been attached to this village for over 20 years.

In particular, during the 4 years of university (majoring in Preschool Education , Faculty of Pedagogy - Ha Tinh University), Suong was sponsored by the Ha Tinh Border Guard Command (formerly the Ha Tinh Border Guard Command) and supported with 1,500,000 VND/month to cover living expenses and study expenses. In addition to material support, border guards regularly coordinate with Ha Tinh University to create the best conditions for her during her studies.

For the first time, a Chut ethnic person in Ha Tinh passed the university entrance exam.
“When entering Ha Tinh University, Ho Thi Suong was known as the first Chut ethnic student to attend university and also attracted the attention of many students and teachers in the school. Of course, there were also concerns from many people who thought that they did not know if she had the ability to complete the study program or not, but witnessing her maturity, efforts and the results she achieved made many other students admire her and have more motivation to strive to excel” - Master Bien Van Quyen - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Pedagogy (Ha Tinh University) said.

With the care of teachers, the support of seniors and especially the sharing of friends in class and in the faculty, after 4 years of studying at Ha Tinh University, Ho Thi Suong has had many very happy changes.
In addition to completing her studies well, Suong also actively participates in scientific research activities, including the topic "Research on the current situation and training needs of first aid skills for students of the Faculty of Education, Ha Tinh University" which won a prize at the conference of scientific research students at the faculty and school levels and was published in the Science Journal of Tan Trao University - a prestigious scientific forum, specializing in publishing research results of individuals, groups and organizations at home and abroad.
Besides, Suong is also an active member in the movements and activities of the Youth Union, Student Association and holds the role of Head of the Martial Arts Club. For many years, Ho Thi Suong has been honored to receive the title of "5 Good Students" at the school and provincial levels. This is also the luggage that helps Suong soon fulfill her dream of becoming a teacher.

Although there are still many difficulties and challenges ahead, with the trust of the local people and especially the sharing and responsible companionship of the soldiers in green uniforms, I believe that Suong will firmly continue to write her dream, lighting up the future for the village in the remote border area.
