Hai Phong discovered violations of over 48.8 billion VND through inspection

(Chinhphu.vn) - From the beginning of 2025 to now, Hai Phong City Inspectorate has been implementing and conducting 495 inspections and checks. Thereby, violations of over 48.8 billion VND have been detected.

From the beginning of 2025 to present, Hai Phong City Inspectorate and inspection units of districts, departments and branches have been carrying out 495 inspections and examinations in the fields of socio -economics, construction investment, finance - budget, land management, environment, budget revenue and expenditure at public service units, enterprises and related organizations.

During the inspection and examination process, the working groups discovered violations with a total amount of more than 48.8 billion VND.

Notably, the inspection conclusions do not stop at identifying violations, but also provide specific solutions, along with requirements for handling responsibilities for violating groups and individuals. This contributes to enhancing deterrence and preventing violations in public service activities and public financial management.

Along with economic handling, administrative sanctions have also been vigorously implemented. Since the beginning of 2025, inspection units have issued 81 decisions on administrative sanctions, with a fine amount of VND 7,133 million, of which VND 5,621.21 million has been paid to the State budget.

The sanctioned acts are mainly related to violations in construction investment management, finance and accounting, bidding, land management, resource exploitation, environment, and public service.

In reality, most inspections have discovered limitations and shortcomings in the management and operation of localities and units, including systematic violations that have been repeated over many years.

However, through the inspection conclusion, the inspected agencies and units promptly corrected violations, adjusted working procedures, and strengthened internal management.

Along with handling violations, inspection agencies also focus on recommending amendments and supplements to regulations and rules, proposing measures to strengthen internal inspection work, and enhancing the responsibility of leaders.

The organization of public announcement of inspection conclusions at the inspected unit also contributes to improving transparency and effectiveness of law enforcement.

Along with that, thematic inspections and surprise inspections are flexibly implemented according to the actual situation. Many cases are promptly inspected when there are signs of violations, complaints from people or information from the media.

To further improve the effectiveness of inspection work in the coming time, Hai Phong City Inspectorate has identified key tasks: Continue to conduct inspections in a focused and key direction, avoiding overlap and duplication; strengthen the inspection of the responsibility of leaders, especially in handling complaints and denunciations and preventing and combating corruption.

At the same time, strongly apply information technology in planning management and monitoring inspection activities; improve the capacity and quality of inspection staff, ensure independence and objectivity in performing tasks; promote coordination between inspection, examination and auditing agencies, create synchronization in monitoring and handling violations.
