Exactly 1 month after the V-League 2024 - 2025 ended, HAGL Club said goodbye to more than a dozen players. Among them are 4 pillars including captain Minh Vuong and 3 players Ngoc Quang, Bao Toan, Quang Nho and soon to be young player Ly Duc who is competing in the U.23 Southeast Asian tournament. In addition, some other pillars such as Van Son,
A Hoang (expected to become a coach)… will also leave the mountain town team. Thus, in the past 3 years, the mountain town team has completely "broken up" with the famous HAGL JMG generation.

Preparing for the upcoming new season, HAGL will continue the policy of lending young players to gain practical experience, including about 15 players for Binh Dinh Club in the first division. The remaining 8-10 outstanding faces will be called up by coach Le Quang Trai to the first team to maintain a squad of about 25 players for the V-League 2025 - 2026. Mr. Trai said: "In 2015, Mr. Duc replaced almost all of the first team to bring the first class of HAGL JMG Academy to play in the V-League. After 10 years, HAGL will bring up a new generation. The main frame, except for leader Thanh Son (born in 1999), the rest were born from 2000 onwards such as Thanh Nhan, Dinh Lam (2000), Du Hoc, Huu Phuoc (2001), Van Trieu, Trung Kien (2003) ... In the new season, HAGL will give opportunities to the young players trained at Ham Rong, to be interwoven with experienced seniors to mature and become more mature".
With such a policy, in the new season, the duo of Technical Director Vu Tien Thanh and Head Coach Le Quang Trai will face more challenges. Coach Le Quang Trai expressed: "We will enter the new season with advantages and difficulties. Changing a large number of new players will make them need time to get used to the coaching philosophy in building and setting requirements for playing football. The advantage is that the players are trained at Ham Rong, understand the working style of the coaching board and the requirements of the team, helping them understand and approach faster. HAGL in the new season will be rich in youth, with abundant new energy but of course will still need the guidance of the older players".
HAGL still says no to overseas Vietnamese players
It is known that in the 2025 - 2026 season, HAGL will continue to ignore the slots for overseas Vietnamese players to leave slots for young players trained by themselves. At the same time, the mountain town team will focus on building a "Brazilian package" with a vertical axis of 4 foreign players all from the land of Samba. Jairo and Marciel will join 2 new players including striker Gabriel Conceicao (24 years old, 1.83 m tall) and midfielder Khevin Fraga (28 years old, 1.92 m tall) to add steel, in addition to the typical Brazilian improvisation.
On July 22, HAGL had a 1-1 draw with the Korean student team at the Thien Long friendly tournament at Tam Ky Stadium, Da Nang City. That was the match where the 2 rookies and Jairo were the pillars to help the young HAGL players play confidently against the tall, strong opponent from Korea.
